Does anyone remember dunga's playoff system over a year ago? If you do, then this one will be a lot like that. If you don't, I'll explain it. Basically, the best 16 players were voted on by the community and played a best of 5 series with another person, and if you win, you advance to the next round. And there are rankings, the best would be rank #1, the 32nd best would be #32, and they would play in the first round.

For the Strategic 1v1 tournament, all guys who were in the top 3 in the ladder ever deserve an automatic bid in my opinion. These guys that are still active (played less than 6 days ago) are:

That's 39 players. I estimate only about 15-20 will actually play though, because many seem to be floating in and out of activeness. That means that we probably need to vote on some more people. So my idea for voting is this: Everyone votes for up to 15 people, 5 get 3 points, 5 get 2 points, and 5 get 1 point. The players with the most votes at the end get in. I'll be asking these players listed above whether or not they are interested in playing so I can give an exact number when the voting is done. Please don't vote for any of the people listed above. Another rule for voters: At least 200 games played, and at least 40% win percentage, or top 50 in the ladder to keep out multiaccounts and bad players.

divide 32 player in 4 tie. top 8, 9-16, 17-24 , 25-32. (this is based on skill)
draw 9-16 (who is #10 #11 .....)17-24 and 25-32 same
for 1-8 (that is mlst important) we can vote it or draw it too.

the 1v1 ladder has proven enough! The Master Race has the highest winning % and the highest rating ever! TMR is so bored with 1v1 me he gave a free win to gnuff and he could still be ranked #1 now if he deigned to rejoin the ladder topplay a bunch of misfits! save your time and energy and just study TMR's games to do something more productive!

This one is just Strategic 1v1. There is another one for all-around 1v1 players. You can do both though. And I will make a couple games with the players that have automatic bids and see how many are willing to play it.

Qi, you are a member of the Master Race of WL too. TMR is strategic 1v1 specialists, who play at a high level. Pretty much anyone who wins at anything or posts anything useful in the forums is a member of The Strategic 1v1 Master Race.

I am not bored with strat 1v1, I am just very selective in choosing opponents. I play one offs with former number 1s mostly. The point of the ladder is to prove to other people how good you are, which I don't need to do. I have transcended petty glory and now play only to improve my self.

I would certainly encourage master race neophytes to study my old ladder games, as well as those of other past number 1s.
