I moved my game to another tablet and everything worked except the reward for ads has expired and the icon to view an ad is not visible. The extra army production is off (no message on the top of the army page). I tried shutting down the app and restarting it but that hasn't worked (it did in past occurrences). Is there any way to force the game to reset the ad notification and display the icon?
That seems odd. I'm using an Amazon fire tablet and I've seen plenty of different ads on my other device. Ads are enabled in my War zone profile and on my tablet. The reward has been unavailable for several hours now. Anyone else with this problem?
@Mark, I am on Samsung Android, recently sometimes I need to do force quit a few times before getting the ads. Just wait a few seconds after restarting the game, if still no ads then just do it again. Hopefully you will get the ads.
Thanks. I've already tried a dozen times. A 20% hit in army production makes the levels take too long. If I don't get ads by tomorrow, I just may quit altogether. I have other things to do (the library wants their books back).
Okay, I cleared up some space on my 1st tablet, reinstalled the game, and had the same problem. No ads. I tried resyncing, forced stops and clearing caches to no avail. Then, this morning, the icon reappeared and I now have 20% more army production...for now.
Here is what I think is going on: 1. The tablet settings are not at fault. Amazon Fire tablets all enable ads (unless you pay to shut them off...from Amazon) and always enable 3rd party ads unless you install an adblocker. 2. Resyncing is a waste of time. The game resumes on its own. When I logged into the game on my 2nd tablet, and later on my 1st, the game resumes at my current progress both times. Clearly the game servers store real-time updates to your in-game progress. 3. Clearing the cache is a waste of time. 4. Forced stopping the ap is a waste of time. 5. The problem is, as a few have noted, the game has a limited number of available ads, based on contracts with the game developer. The players on each platform (device) draw from that pool every 4 hours and, when exhausted, no more ads and no more reward. The pool resets at fixed times (daily?) and your ability to watch an ad depends on the number of ads available and the number of people playing (and watching) on any given platform. When former Pres. Trump or sellers of metal roofs pay for ads, the number is locked and when they run out, they run out. Bottom line, our game progress is highly dependent on the sponsor's advertising budget. Also, if faced with this again, the best solution is to put the game aside for a day.
