chris- please don't cancel yours-- i'd prefer a 1v1 state thing to a big international, multi-event circus

So this is my thinking to include team games...
Round 1 - States 1v1 RR on Strat ME(10 players max each), winner and runner up advance from each state)
Round 2 - Regionals 1v1 RR on Battle Islands (8-10 way RR) for each region. Winner and runner up advance (A1, A2, B1, B2...)
Round 3 - National Semifinals (12 players) 2v2 RR on China (3 groups, all combinations of teams = 3 games each group). 1v1 RR on Guiroma (3 groups, = 4 games) -Top 2 from each group (total points) advance Group X: A1, F1, B2, E2 Group Y: B1, D1, C2, F2 Group Z: C1, E1, A2, D2
Round 4 - National Finals (6 players) 3v3 RR on Europe (all combinations of matchups = 10 games) 1v1 RR on Strat MME (5 games each) -Total points in Finals is champion.

So this is what I have for participants so far:
AK - Tick AZ - Andersault CA - Richard M. Nixon, Pushover, ThePelicanThing, Nanaimo, QuothTheRaven CO - ChrisCMU, Gameboy, hakero FL - Legacy IA - Tinman IL - [PIP] ℊк, Jefferspin, Miyagi, TheBeastMD, Pooh, Master Arc IN - BlacKnight MA - Beren Erchamion MD/DC - Oh Noes, TBest MI - Wedge McFry, Sir Dolphin VI, Masterpierround, Dagorin, Eutychus, The Turtle, JV MO - HankyPinky, JSA, MT - Dr Stupid ND - almosttricky NE - Big E NJ - 13CHRIS37, VickyLizy, Psycho_61, Mhawk10 NM - Traintown NY - slammy, Vortex OH - Dom, Blortis, Missy OK - cjia RI - Riyamitie SC - Kasparov, Sargon de Fair UT - Thanos TX - Lolowut, CONQ, Genghis, Faucheur WA - Master of the Dead, Awesomeguy
That is 55 total players. Given the low amount of participation, we'd need to scrap the initial round of state RRs and just start at the region level. I will draw up plans to to that today (and attempt to break into even regions).

So this is my best stab at making new regions (hopefully we can get a few more west players to sign up)...
WEST
Region 1 WA - Master of the Dead, Awesomeguy AK - Tick CA - Richard M. Nixon, Pushover, ThePelicanThing, Nanaimo, QuothTheRaven
Region 2 CO - ChrisCMU,Gameboy, hakero ND - almosttricky NM - Traintown AZ - Andersault MT - Dr Stupid UT - Thanos
Region 3 IA - Tinman MO - HankyPinky, JSA NE - Big E OK - cjia TX - Lolowut, CONQ, Genghis, Faucheur
EAST
Region 4 MI - Wedge McFry, Sir Dolphin VI, Masterpierround, Dagorin, Eutychus, The Turtle, JV OH - Dom, Blortis, Missy
Region 5 FL - Legacy SC - Kasparov, Sargon de Fair IL - [PIP] ℊк, Jefferspin, Miyagi, TheBeastMD, Pooh, Master Arc IN - BlacKnight
Region 6 MA - Beren Erchamion MD/DC - Oh Noes, TBest NJ - 13CHRIS37, VickyLizy, Psycho_61, Mhawk10 NY - slammy, Vortex RI - Riyamitie
I went by proximity only, not quality of players (I did not want to bring in objectivity). Since the top 3 from each Region would advance, I don't think many quality players will get shafted by the region they are in (except 6 would be pretty stacked IMO).
