Wow, no reset of powers and no level rewards (hardened bonuses only?). That (especially the latter) seems quite contradictory to the announcement:
Your level rewards are reset so you can earn them again
Frankly, this is not very appealing w/r to the question whether to super ascend or not.
It really should be reworded to: "Your level rewards will be lost, but you are able to earn them again." The way it's worded implies that you can stack them up to build up production levels over a few Super Ascensions to somewhat compensate losing all AP/Adv/most Artifacts.

Agree, it's just too high a cost. I've done the same, keeping 1 of each artifact type, aiming to get as many as possible to Rare or higher, and a few to Leg, a handful to Epic, and maybe someday an Insane. But SAsc changes everything, forces far too much waste among artifacts. I'd be okay with it if everything beyond the 2 artifacts you choose to carry forward became invalid "fodder only" artifacts, so they can never be equipped and can only be used to upgrade other valid artifacts newly dug up after SAsc'ing. But unfortunately as it is now, it's too big a fork in the road, you're forced to either give up a massive amount of value in artifacts, or prolong the SAsc by months in order to upgrade some artifacts to minimize the loss. Poor design imho.
On another point, 'Super Ascend' is kind of a silly term. Why does everything these days have to be Super/Mega/Ultra/Plus/Extra - just find a different term. Or call it "Level Up". Would have been a good opportunity to introduce a new type of player level into WZI and make it a visible stat on player profiles. Or if we don't want 2 types of Levels, call it Tiers or something else.
