Arun, I did it mostly compared to last season. But when you look at the people last season, it seems much more obvious to do it this way. Relite is obviously deserving of Group A. [WG] had 4 people in it at that time, one of which was booted in over half of his games. CPU finished 2 points above [WG] but lost Ineffable to [WG] and did not gain many good players that I know of. [WL] was carried by Ironnova who won his 1v1 and 2v2 tournaments. He is no longer active, so that is their best player gone. 2 other members that participated for that clan are also now inactive.
Gnuffone, I'm not sure, hopefully within the next couple weeks, maybe even sooner. I think that the template works well enough. However since in the top group, each clan has at least 10 or so players I believe, I will make a game with the leaders of the clans and we might add a few more tournaments to give more players a shot to do whatever they want.

Despite i believe for example WG and ReLite definitely belong to GroupA, i think if you make divisions this season, the ONLY acceptable way is by dividing according to results of last season. There should not be any bias or handicap based on your whim, even when most of people agree some clans seem better than others. If you divide this into groups, then it should be done like in promotion/relegaiton league. Group divisions should be decided only on standings from last seasons, and new participants should start from the bottom. and i also agree 5 is a bit to few. it should be somewhere between 7 and 10 clans for each group..
let's be fair JSA, let it be something like:
A)
1. Apex/[WM]: 176
2. Apex/[WM]: 176
3. AHOL: 163
4. [WL]: 157
5. CPU: 129
6. [WG]: 127
7. [REGL]: 116
B)
8. {Warlighters}: 108
9. FBG: 106
10. [VIW]/[MC]: 105
11. [VIW]/[MC]: 105
12. {RSP}: 88
13. {101st}: 75
14. [TUC]: 66
C)
15. Dragon: 58
16. [KK]: 51
17. Elite: 37
18. [P]/[Zen-D]: 36
19. [P]/[Zen-D]: 36
20. {RING}: 30
if people demand it, i would give a wildcard to ReLites into group B or A, but it's a slippery idea, because if they get a wildcard, then why don't the others..? The more subjective you will get and the more clans you will treat individually, the less arbitrary and serious this league will be. I do understand some clans had retirements in their teams, and some boots as well.. but for example WM had the same problem with at least one player, which cost us a few points. But we don't whine about it.

My idea with the clan league is to match up similar clans in terms of skill as best we can. The problem with putting Relite in the lowest group is that it is no fun for them then. Or even Group B. They would dominate the group and have no competition. It is not fun to be able to beat everybody else without even trying. Instead there needs to be some serious competition. That is why I am not going completely based on pass results, although it is very similar. The top 5 seem by far to be the best 5 to me. However, 7 teams in a group is a good idea in my opinion. I just don't see any way to leave Relite out of that though. You say let's be fair, but not adding Relite in Group A would be penalizing any new clans. This season, I was completely bored with most games, even 1v1 and before lolowut started getting booted. There were just very few games I actually tried on because over half were games against players that had no business playing against me. And I'm sure it was even worse on Dead piggy and Ironnova and Boston. I would rather people enjoy the league rather than making it always go exactly according to a strict schedule and not make exceptions. The other 2 teams that would be joining the top group, [WL] and CPU work for me and in that case, I see no reason why [REGL] or {Warlighters} should jump them. The only time I would have a clan jump another clan is if one clan is obviously stronger than another. So the new plans for me:
Group A:
[WM]
Apex
Relite
[WG]
[WL]
AHOL
CPU
Group B:
[REGL]
{Warlighters}
FBG
[MC]
[VIW]
{101st}
[TUC]
Group C:
Dragon
[KK]
[Zen-D]
[P]
{RING}
Any new clans (I predict 1-2 of these clans I have currently listed will drop out due to not having the people for it)

RSP is a semi-dead clan anyway, i wanted to join Relite just for this thing, but Mannerheim told me my forum activity showed that i'm not friendly enough to join them. :/

Falcon, a clan is not made of one player. The timing will depend on the group. Group A will be the first group we worry about and then we'll go down from there. I think the settings worked well this season, I don't know what to change them too, except I'd like to see 2v2 move to the map East Asia & Oceania to provide a little bit of change. I am not judging all on rosters, I don't think one player missing from any one clan will decrease them too much, and to me the groups seem to be set up right at the moment.
