Is there a way to make everyone's names set to something random when a multiplayer game starts, so that no one knows who anyone is? Same with player colors of course.

My friends and I used to play on the regular but we have developed our own trust groups that we typically fall into so games go the same way each time, so I thought this might help solve the problem.

Nope.

Next best solution is using a handful of alts to play and NOT TELLING ANYONE who's who.

In coin games this is that you cannot see who it is (at least so it was in the past. Not sure if it still is)

Never noticed that. Though I can totally see Jake's name in coin FB games.

I think that's changed, lf, probably sometime after coins no longer being convertible to $.

that would make a good setting though. getting to see who is who only after the game is finished.

You could achieve this via a CLOT or a third party. Although you'd know the participants as soon as the game starts.
