today I had to choose between lunch and CW. As you can guess lunch won.
I had a very good shawarma-kafta-sandwich. From the place where I never know whether they are Israelis or Palestinians. But I guess it doesn't matter.

Tomorrow will be another chance to become a Clan War champion.

Dear Diary,

today I got a match up against Hunta from WG. Is Clan Wars really the new real-time event to play against good players?

These are my picks and I think 1- 4 are pretty much set when you look at the board. Picks #5 and #6 were pretty lazy though and lost me the game.
When you expect to share 1 - 4 than your later picks should def be in a safe spot. With these picks I set myself up for a positional disadvantage.



The game pretty much plays out like that, while I do have an income advantage of +1 I dont have space to expand and to easily get card pieces.
All the while Hunta does exactly that and manages to stay alive in the Americas.



The one turning point where he could have lost would be T10, if he had failed to play his OP card.
After that he also gains the income advantage and thats it.

Hats off to you, Hunta.


Anyway, I wonder what everyone else uses to quickly embed screenshots in the forum.

today Fizzer hosted an AMA on twitch, showcasing the new warzone update.

Here are my takeaways:

I always wondered what other languages call earworms.

To my knowledge, the word comes from the German der Ohrwurm. So Germans have probably been wondering what we call it. And in fact we just translated it.

Any other languages have a term for it?

There's nothing directly related to it in Japanese, more akin to 'stuck in my head'.

Though funny, I googled it now and does appear that some people are using イヤーワーム (iyaawaamu, literally enunciates to the English earworm). When in doubt, just use the English.

This is a nice series. You two should keep it up.

Oh yeah, right, gotta keep away from crap-posting in the WZC forum.

Fun fact: There technically was a season before Season 1. It was a testing season. It lasted just 1 timeslot and ended, as the map was small and like 60 people joined all at once so the map couldn't take it. The test season was won by SNinja.
