One day I played a game on warlight. It was a 3v3 and nobody would join my team. I was about to give up hope and delete the game. It had been a whole 5 minutes of waiting after all. But then out of the blue Carl Soderburg joined! And his sidekick Gnuffoon followed and the game started!
I'm a little into sadomasichism in my RL, so it was kinda kinky to have CS bind me with his leather instructions on where to move and whip me with his sharp tongue when I was a bad boy.
When I first met Carl he went by another name, [WM] swayzeningen. He was named after a chess position, so I started chatting to him about chess. He took little time to inform me that the opening I played was flawed at a high level and gave me an alternative sequence of moves to try. He told me about his short chess career and helped me to realise that I was not as good at chess as him.
To this day, whenever I win at chess I think of his words, and reflect on how much I have to learn still. Goodbye swegninegnsnen, and good luck, wherever you are.
motocross, let me guess your alts, gg and someone else, i remember szeweningen, i first played him in a livestreamed tourney, he always yelled thatt i sucked, every game, i was planning on asking him what happened when he went inacitve because he was still active on chess.com, but he is inactive there as well now
Motocross, for gods sake please stop messing up every thread in the forums...
If this is about memories of Szewengingen, then at least say something about him, and get it into your tiny head that piggy doesn't want to play with you. This kind of thing can be asked in a 1v1 chat game, or maybe on its own thread, not on a thread about another player.
Szew is one of the best players, always knew how to predict people, and when he tried was unstoppable. However, as Seahawks mentioned, he will always be best known for his lines in the live-streamed tournaments, especially "It must have been a misclick."
My main memory of Sze is as a commentator in the live-streamed events. I beat HHH on strat Earth, and was dead proud, and pushed for the game to be analysed. There, Sze tore my play to shreds, and I really wasn't happy! Looking back, it's pretty funny, but at the time, I sure didn't feel that way!
With all due respect he's not inactive at chess.
While I do think szeweningen has other interests at the moment which keep him busy I haven't heard any account he's left warlight for good.
Although it's unclear I sort of belief he would have otherwise announced his retirement, which he hasn't
Aranka, not sure if that is simply plain stupid or asking for provocation. He wrote a thread about it earlier today, had you said that before he had made the thread it would have been a good point...

Had been busy this week and thus didn't get all the recent developments which had taken place on this forum.
Quickly browsing through page 1 of recent forum updates at the time of posting szeweningen's rehab was not something I saw.
