Is this the first time in histroy the worst rated map has won the map of the week price?

There was this time:

But, its name aside, the map in question was actually highly rated and looks interesting from a gameplay perspective.

At 2.58 this is indeed the lowest-rated map to win motw, beating out Duel (week 39, rating 2.62) and Darkwood Forest (week 111, rating 2.8 (undeserved, probably because of single player games)).

@Seleukos, JK's map was voted because most Excel players voted for that :D As for this map, its shit. I played a game in it and its was the worst game of my warzone life even though i won. I hoped that Guinea-Bissau would win cause it was the best map there...

I got a feeling that Loxiiv/KG used all their alts to vote for that template.

The people who think it's bad are just mad because their maps are bad and they have poor relations with their fathers. Mad cuz bad, as my grandpa used to say.
Now that board has won MOTW it is time for this divided community to heal.

There's an easy fix: galvanize more people to vote for MotW. It's great that more people are excited about MotW, even if they voted for a map you disagree with. That's how democracy works.

Would you oppose an election where your least-favorite candidate won because of unexpectedly higher turnout? This is just like how it works in the civilian election system.

It's typical the worst map wins. the community Riggs the vote I've seen numerous times now. Why? because they don't take it seriously.
