I almost never played FFAs except for the begin when i was noob. I did that because it was the most similar to Risk (which is where we all come from, all the Creation stuff i bullshit).
Than, to get back to the memories i tried to play some games again, just for the memory of the old times.
We can start saying that FFA is a pervers game. Really, it is the perversness for antonomasia. Especially when you play without fog and the numer of players is odd. Take 3 FFA: everyone tries to do it's best to expand and keep the others from expanding. But there is a subtile equilibrium. Once you start fighting someone, the third one's chances to win increseases and so on, until someone decides to make the decisive move, gets bored or gets booted.
Strange things happens in FFAs.
It may happens that sometimes, all players are colluding (meant or not) and they eliminate you in 3 turns.

And if you wonder what's going on, why even the one who didn't have any reason to attack you, is doing it, you will get this answer:
Yeah..you read well...he
capitalized on me...lol...I wish to know which capital he gained by doing that :/
Otherwise why just don't become someone's pet? Yes...there are some player with Jigsaw like sadomasochistic tendencies, and after gaining an advantage because you, after trying to survive, and doing so you broke a 3way alliance making BOTH of them allying against you, the winning player decides to make you fight against the other player losing. Worse than chickens illegal fights!
As it wasn't enough, they both had a previous old agreement and after 30 turns they voted to end.
Goddamit. That's sick. In an FFA you will always have to betray someone to survive. You can stay somewhere and wait for you end, or, you can try to ally with every player letting them fight (but that, with no fog would look suspicious). Otherwise you can ally with some and declare war to others, but once the others are done, you have to break your alliance before he understands that you want to betray him.
In the end, anger will takeover and all the players you betrayed will collude against you because you were a traitor. What they don't get is that if you don't do it, soon or later you will be dead already.
Is it worth playing FFAs to have some quite, calm game? ----> NO, better play 1v1 and become a masterrace.
But, if you want to see people raging and insulting eachother because of betrayments, that's definetly worth it!
See you next time with other gameplay thoughts.
But, it's worht
