I don't think you need to do good things w/o it benefiting yourself to be a hero.

hero's can be people that do good things, even if it benefits themself, like when iron man killed the evil guy that was going to destroy the world he helped people, but it also helped himself because his wife was about to die and all that, although it did hurt him that he lost all his powers because all his suits got destroyed, but that was on his choice, anyways back to the point, it benefits the hero as well if the villain is killed
