Harvey, I'm not annoyed at you using curse words on the forum. I'm instead baffled by your decision to do so knowing it's going to get you banned.
Here's a quick primer on how the moderation on this site works: it's a tiered system. There's chat mods who can just mute people on chat, peasant mods who review reports and
recommend actions, and forum/site admins who're able to actually take action. This process takes
forever, sometimes weeks or months.
But there's also an ad hoc system that works much faster and doesn't require reports. If Fizzer or another admin sees your forum post and thinks it's disrespectful or offensive, they can (and often will) take action immediately.
In other words, you do not have to be reported to get warned, suspended, or banned. The admins quite actively monitor these forums, especially the Off-topic Forum. No one has to snitch on you for you to get in trouble.
So what you and Cazza did and keep doing is the equivalent of speeding directly in front of a cop car. You're right, most of us don't give a rat's fizz whether or not you break that rule (some do). But you're going to keep getting in trouble because, regardless of whether they make sense, the rules
exist and they are
enforced and you are in the exact place where they are enforced the most promptly and harshly. Fizzer is pretty fizzing strict about language on the forums, especially when you're already on his radar. He lurks. He rarely ever says anything, but he lurks and it's safe to assume he sees most everything on the forums.
Do you think these rules are overly strict, enforced inconsistently, and carelessly left in the hands of mall cops who go on power trips? Sure, many would agree it "works exactly like (an idiot's understanding of) the criminal justice system" (actual quote, not necessarily my views). That's why there's Discord servers. If you want to use heated language without being actively monitored by an "out-of-touch trigger-happy boomer language cop with severe communication issues" (another actual quote, not necessarily my views), just hop onto one of the many Discord servers where the community actually talks. Almost no one uses the forums; that's why they're so inactive.
You're trying very fizzing hard to look cool on a ghost town, for no reason. When you get in trouble on the forums, your access to the
whole site is at risk. If you don't like the site rules, fine- then just play the game and stay off the forum, like most sane people. Your behavior right now is like repeatedly traveling to 1941 Germany and complaining about getting in trouble for not doing some stupid salute.
