What are some of the best ladder performances? Here are some of the best in my opinion:
1. Latnox's current 1v1 run: (21-0, 14 1800+ wins, 2491 rating, no stalling) 2. The Impaller's 1v1 ladder domination: (138-21, #1 for nearly all of a 6-month period) 3. Heyheuhei's 1v1 ladder consistency: (didn't drop out of the 16 at all for 2.5 years; was top 10 for roughly 2 years of that stretch) 4. Dead piggy's 1v1 winning streak: (26 game winning streak, 20+ rated 1800+ at the time, no stalling, 2422 rating but never included all 26 games) 5. Szeweningen's realtime ladder performance: (72-19, #1 anytime he pleases except for a 2-3 day stretch where a streaking player came in. When Yves played Sze, Sze regained the #1 rating.) 6. Rubik's Seasons 1-3 success (47-8 record in the first 3 seasons, 2 seasonal wins) 7. Ruthless Bastard's Seasonal Success (placed top 10 in 10/11 1v1 seasons from Season IV to Season XV) 8. Gui's continued success on the 2v2 ladder (#1 with 4 different teammates)
These are 8 of the top ladder successes. Does anyone have any other ladder performances they found very impressive?

You are correct Master ARC. But while Belzebu stalled, and allegedly also played versus himself in two of the games on his run, his rating is very overrated. Latnox didn't stall and didn't cheat, making his run the most deserving of the highest rating ever.
The only other player that can claim to have a deserving rating that comes close to Latnox is dead piggy, in his run that I mentioned here. There is a 69-point differential there, but Latnox had the advantage of beating 2 players that are rated very high and have 20 or less games played (TomTrix(Darkpie) and GiantFrog). If one of those player's ratings drop, Latnox's will drop quickly as well considering those are the two highest rated players he has beaten. My point isn't that Latnox's run doesn't deserve the highest rating ever; I'm simply saying that Dead piggy's run is in the same league as Latnox's in terms or deserved rating. However, if we go down that route, we could make the case that many player's ratings have been inflated over the past couple years and that The Impaller actually deserved the highest rating ever. So yeah, lots of opinions; the fact remains that Latnox has the highest rating ever out of non-stalling players by 69 points, and by 34 if you include stalling players.
Now the real question. Will Latnox break 2500?

Summer should definitely be somewhere on the list. Did she simultaneously hold 1v1 and 2v2 with Roo?
As for the silver run, there was nothing special about it, but I guess we now know who my alts are on fire is ;)

The silver/summer run was not overly impressive. Many 2v2 runs have been very near the strength of that one; it doesn't stand out.
However, I agree on adding timinator's recent realtime ladder success and summers somewhat recent 2v2 ladder success.

Hi guys. So I did my ladder run actually to test how does new 1v1 ladder system works. Here are some of my thoughts about it: It is still possible to game the system. Although it's not as easy as with 15 required games to be ranked, you still can extend inconvenient games, and play the easiest one faster. So yes, I did help myself a little. I've purposely played with 1800-1900 rating opponents to have my 20 games finished faster and easier. It was possible because ladder wasn't so strong nowadays but also because of extended range of players you can be paired with (it's now +-30% as far as I remember). So despite I have 2400+ rating, I'm still being paired with 1800+ players. That gives me quite easy wins (most games doesn't last 10 turns, like they all assume "I'm going to lose anyway, so no point of trying" :P). But that also backfired at me because I've lost 10 pts just during the night, because someone somewhere lost a game. it's a bit silly. Especially, when I'm getting ~7 pts for winning a game. In general, I think, those changes are made in good direction, but they will actually work with TrueSkill. Now they just creating rather chaos, than actual changes. So my conclusion is: Fizzer pull yourself together, and apply TrueSkill :P
Also let's see If I can beat 2500. Well, who knows, maybe tomorrow I'll wake up with 2500 because someone won a game :D In the meantime, I'll create another 3 games and play the easiest one, just to annoy you guys a little :)

As far as I know, those 20% is not based on rating, but rather +/- 20% when it comes to rank. So if 1v1 ladder has 200 active players, if you're #40, you can be paired up with anyone from #1 to #80.

Yeah, I was curious about that as well. Going by rank and not rating makes quite a bit more sense
Also: "There are currently 338 players in the ladder"
So 20% margin would still include No 45.
