Results of week #2

1.Ursa:Luna no surprise... http://warlight.net/Map?ID=10273 - By RA. With a total of 12 votes.
A quote from Incaman:
Excellent map both in design and gameplay.

Design - It has a sort of otherworldly familiarity to it (if that means anything), like you have seen it in a dream and although you can't really remember what the dream was about you know it was a happy one :D. I remember telling Ra once that although all mapmakers create maps, he creates worlds. That's what this map is. You can easily write a series of book that take place in Ursa: Luna :D. Well done!
Gameplay - Ii think it's more or less evenly balanced, with well placed choke points and nice bonus distribution.

NinjaNic:

This is a fantastic map. I really like the special towers you can control for extra armies. And even better I love the idea of different layers of elevation, it looks cool and plays out fine as well. Another thing I like are the super bonuses which I often use in my own maps. The bonus colours really complement each other. Although this is from a mapmaker's perspective, I have played games on the map and is very fun for teams of 2 and 3.

Ranek:

Ursa Luna by Ra is an outstanding high quality map. As I can assess, it took months to create this map and to progressively improve the design up to that high standard. You can even tell that Ra had the time, while creating the artwork, to figure out a thought-out gameplay. There are only few maps within Warlight, comparable with this peace of art.

Math Wolf:
Yes, this map is great and looks good, no wonder everyone's so positive about it. So I'm going to be the devil's advocate for a moment and point out some other things. It is also a little confusing and somewhat difficult to learn (which is not necessarily negative). It takes some time to find out how all connections work (teleports, grotto's, gates are separate territories) and not all bonuses are logical or even fair. If you zoom in, it turns out not all territories nicely fit into each other and some borders are a little more crude than they seem at first sight. Other than that, I can offer nothing but praise like all other judges before me. It looks really nice (and all artwork is original?), surprises in a fun way and, most important to me, offers many interesting options for gameplay, including several scenario's.
