There has been some interest in turning CL from a Promotion/Relegation League into a Knockout/Playoff style league. Before I will even consider this I will need to see how this does in testing. I will need 8 clans to volunteer. The 8 clans will be divided into 2 groups where they will play in a double elimination bracket to qualify for playoffs. The top 2 of each group will play in the playoffs.

I will need lineups for 4 1v1s and 1 2v2. I will announce templates when all clans have signed up. I may also consider a template ban system, but we will see about that.

The idea is CL would look something similar to this :

@marcus every body would have a chance to compete for first. Doing groups just allows us to avoid a 1 and done situation for clans, without having to do a full-blown double Elim bracket.
If you look up at the example above it allowed KRU Esports to make a top 4 run, despite losing their first game.

CORP would love to join the test run, feel like it needs a punching bag clan :D

it is a clan event. since this is only a test there is no rules for slots or anything albeit

I think that clans can have multiple groups, for example Hawks 1, Hawks 2 (or they name it like they name NBA or NFL teams like "Discovery '16ers" or "Fahrenheit Heat"?)

Clans will rank the templates from favorite to least favorite. The least favorite will be "vetos" that will knock 4 out of 8 1v1s, and 2 out of 3 2v2s. The highest seed will always get second pick.
