I've seen a few sporadic threads with ideas for new maps. I'd like to consolidate them here for brainstorming, organizational, and inspirational purposes.

Aspiring cartographers can go to Help and then "How can I make my own map?". This will unlock the Map Designer.

I was thinking about making a Runescape map but I couldn't find an image of the whole map that I liked.

A Mediterranean map would kick ass, particularly if it had an ancient Rome theme :P

I have a question:
How WWI or WWII maps would be diffrent from Europe/World map? Its about changing territories on map or starting positions or what?

i would like more scenarios (i guess challenges) where you are given a certain amount of territories already and then are forces to fight already established enemies.

i give a +1 to the civil war idea. it would basically only need to include america out to about st. louis or so. the south would start with way more armies but obviously the north has more reinforcements.

i guess a capture the flag/control point idea would work well for that.

In civil war the south less armies as well, perhaps just the better players would play the south since they had better generals. although in WWII the theme of initial armies versus bonuses could come into play if you could design maps with differant players getting differant initial starting amounts of troops.

Definitely Mediterranean Map. Especially with scenario of Pompeius-Caesar war, Parthian war and Vercingetorix rebelion (all simultaneously, just for fun). War between Antony and Octavian would be interesing too.

Ireland, 32 counties split into 4 provinces. Each province with with equal bonus, ideal for a 4v4.

I'd add my vote to WWII for certain.

It's probably the only point conquerclub has over warlight.

Of course the question of what timeline to go by would come up.

Would you want to start with the 1939 borders,1940,1941 or 1942?

Do you include just europe or the whole world???

I should probably mention that once I do get my lazy ass around to finishing my Huge Earth map it will include World War 1 & 2 scenarios.
