Not so sure - I think a lot of MB are alts, who are already playing CL with the mains in their home clans. So those left in MB would only those actually playing with the mains in MB, which I think is a small number.

I wouldn't call it easy; in the last slot, Flex would always send a mail to people who haven't participated given day. Massive commitment. This season he is single-handedly trying to keep our morale at a reasonable level. Victories are 50% Flex and 50% us.

At Excel, Flexus sent out hundreds of messages an hour. It was like Flexus Radio. All Flexus, All the Time, 7/24 a Day. Plus email messages.

Who has time for this?

I'd rather not be in that kind of clan with so much pressure. Excel does well recruiting. Because, a lot of players like our low pressure atmosphere. Even if you are only mere 10% season player, like me, there is no pressure. That's Loyalty.

For our clan Myth Busters has been more of a boon than a bane. The problem with the MASTER Clan playing CW was that we were competing for the same players, as they started to lower their standards. As the MASTER Clan then stopped playing the more hardcore strategic part of our clan almost immediately declared CW dead and scolded me for attempting to hype it. There was some... "conceit" regarding Excel as our prime opponent. Now we have an opponent clan which on the one hand can compete with us skill wise but on the other hand does not compete with us for recruits. With Myth Busters being around, our clan is now again completely on the same page and our games get hyped just as in the past as we were competing against the MASTER Clan.

Judging by a recent leak in GC we might guess that M'Hunters send alerts to people who didnt participate in CW for that day too.

It would be interesting to get some details on how MB and MH optimize their CW participation and strategy. For example there might be some priority of templates/slots based on various factors.

CW participation: "hey play every day please"
CW strategy: we play the templates we are comfortable at, nothing groundbreaking. Mild antics that I've seen in every clan occur (shuffling last second to get games missed by others)

Really the tough part is finding 40 decent players who want to play every day, you do that, you are in the mix of getting 1st.

The real task is finding players that you don't need to harass on a daily basis in order to have them get their CW games in. The ones who actually like CW and would play it anyhow, and being in a clan that actively plays it is an incentive to those players.

Yeah that was my leak ;). We do ping players who haven't played yet, and do things to bring up activity as we can. I try my best to not be annoying or ball busting about it.

@FiveSmith: What do you mean? GC = Google Cloud? Our main organizer currently is Stonewall and he sends alerts via Discord. https://wz-clanwars.netlify.app/ is a pretty new site however especially before we had that, we primarily used some semi automated Google Sheets to keep track and help us to ping players for Discord. A high participation comes relatively natural for us since CW is a real time tournament and we are a clan primarily for real time players. Also our top CW players have a pretty high status in our clan with other members striving to learn from them. Before CW it was usually me giving the push for our clan to improve but now with CW my clanmates push each other. Regarding priorities, we have no slot priority, that would be way too much.

As for templates I have written a ladder which uses the WarZone REST API and which I have filled primarily with CW templates so our clanmates also get a taste of unknown templates and won't get stuck playing SEAD ;) I also have made some (video) guides for our clan on how to play some templates. I'm primarily proud of our skills in the "bomberman" where we have re-invented the way it should be played.

Thanks for lifting the curtain of secrecy on the used techniques. I think every clan has its own strategy ideas, that are not just "press 'play' every day".

curtain of secrecy lol, wasn't trying to be a punk in my answer, is really that simple for us, and same in TLA and Excel. It is cool that MH has an internal cw ladder. closest thing I've seen to that (that being cw practice) in other clans is the occasional tournament
