Context: Semicedevice's World War 2 game. I was playing China.

I don't know if any of you have played this game but if you did you would know that China is utterly helpless without airlifts(Japan starts with more starting armies and income).

So the game starts, and seemingly everything is fine.... until the second turn, this is were things start to go to shit, first Russia leaves (which is a big deal since he is one of the major players), in my mind I'm thinking oh that isn't so bad we still have America right? And the good news is that Japan is an AI and AIs are dumb as fuck! Yay hurray! We got this thing in the bag! Right? WRONG, turns out whoever was playing the USA was worse than an AI, here's an example of the AMAZINGLY stupid things that the USA does, first he starts stacking almost ALL of his armies behind Azores (which you can see in the picture has 8000 FUCKING ARMIES), then AI Japan takes Hawaii SINCE THERE'S NO FUCKING ARMIES ON HAWAII SINCE THEY'RE BEHIND AZORES, then America get's on to teamchat and starts to BEG for airlifts to California since "oh no the japs are coming to kill me", so I confront the USA in chat and I ask him about the armies behind Azores, his response is "If Germany is smart they'll break the 8000 in Azores and attack me and win the game", and after I tell him he's an idiot he rage quits the game. In the end AI Japan & Spain end up conquering the USA and I'm fucked by AI Japan and Finland.

Well, the game was pretty stupid anyway. Russia never used Scorched Earth, they fought till they were severely outnumbered ( which didn't take so long, considering there were battles where 1 German soldier essentially killed 10 Russians before he died himself ) and THEN they would pack their bags and run. I'm sure London wasn't abandoned either and replaced with a never-to-be-replenished air force.

The point of this thread was that teammates can be really stupid. But I think the real problem was that your really stupid teammates were smarter than the game itself and couldn't understand why they even bother to practice in such stupidity.

Actually I don't think the template is that bad, London and parts of Russia are abandoned to stop Germany from totally destroying everyone and running over to Asia

Nevertheless I totally understand what ಠ⌣ಠ is talking about. I was once playing on an America map with 3 teams of 3, and the first one abandoned me! I was so ticked off! It wasn't even turn 2 yet! The second one didn't really have the knack for strategy either if you know what I mean. I had tried helping them by suggesting where they should expand and what they should reinforce along the borders but they caved and surrendered. So in the end I just had no other choice but to surrender too.
It can get frustrating.

I found this mildly entertaining, we need more stories like this on the thread so I can kill some time waiting for my shows to load.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki got "nuked". London faced aerial bombings. Germany had no nuclear weapons. America happened to be the only country with nukes

You know, you can add prerequisites for boot percentages and level. (A nifty little feature!) :P

Then you don't have to worry about teammates doing dumb things or leaving the game.

then again, if this game WAS realistic, the Axis powers wouldn't have a chance of winning

Axis had a very grand opportunity to win. The Axis were just terrible diplomats and didn't know how to stay on America's good side. What could've really won the war was if :
A - Japan had proper intelligence on where the American carriers were stationed.
B - Germany stuck to the 1945 Plan.
C - Germany didn't invade Poland, and if they would instead go for Norway or France first.
D - Japan train more air officers.
E - Japanese build a land army that involved more vehicles to have better mobility, rather just infantry that were a bit better than most.
F - Germany not have such an awful chain of command.
G - but, perhaps most important of them all....

In this game I was Germany i ended up taking Uk Northern Africa Canada and Caribbean

USA is a honkycracker and South America is a beanerspic.

I think that a good map, right not entirely accurate.
There inferior axis fronts, and fronts the Allies win, and vice versa
For example, India and Australia always win (unless the player really an idiot) depends largely on the players, the map is relatively balanced.

very few of the germans were good commanders cos they all had to obey Hitler.
And Hitler had Parkinson's Disease. The ones with enough moral fibre to contridict him sometimes tended to be better.
