>Is it OK to have two maps open as long as you don't do anything and sync when you done on one side.
The game actually prevents you from opening more than one instance of WZI, so if you try to open two maps of idle at once, say KP-X in one tab and Rise & Fall in another tab, the game will prevent you from opening the second map in the second tab if it sees you have the first map open in the first tab.
Same is true on the web version. Even though for the web version, tabs are not part of the game itself there, but instead part of the browser you use, you could attempt to open more than one instance of WZI, but again your attempt will be foiled and you'll see the warning saying multiple instances are not supported. You can refresh the second tab if you want that to be the active instance, but if you do it without closing the first tab, the first tab will then just get the warning, even you try to put both levels on the screen at once, by putting them in separate windows rather than just separate tabs.
However, there is no cross-platform check for this. If you try to open one map in a browser, then open another map in the stand-alone client, there's nothing to prevent you from doing this. Even going between different browsers, like one in Chrome and one in Edge, with the game as is, you can do this.
Should you do this? Ideally no, cause even though you could open separate maps, playing through more than one platform, there are many things in WZI that work globally between the maps, such as your advancements, powers, and artifacts (mainly active artifacts in this case), that could cause issues if you tried to use them in more than one instance, cause the game doesn't see the changes you made from one platform in the other platform without syncing from the first platform first, then refreshing the instance on the second platform. Even if you do nothing in the second instance and everything you can in the first, there's still the chance that something could save incorrectly just by having 2 instances open. Since the game auto-syncs every 10 minutes, there's still the risk of conflicting saves, cause as I mentioned before, powers and active artifacts are global for all of idle. So if you use a power in one instance, but the other instance syncs first, the power might still be seen as used, but you could the related progress, in your next session.
