You didn't say anything about boot-times, btw, but i 'm assuming they 'll be 3 days ?

And i would make luck 0% straight round, 16% weighted random and 75% weighted random
I don't think the kind of players this would attract would hate 75% luck

I removed the 75% luck option. Welcome aboard powerneg! To answer about boots it will be 3 days.

If the luck is 16% not 18% I'm back in.

It actually bothers me that so many people are ripping into this based on the settings and potential luck factor, since the idea was, in fact, to play games with arbitrary settings.

There are 1001 different ways on this site to measure your strategic brilliance, to play monotonous s1v1 games against players of any level, to be as serious and competitive as you feel compelled to be. This is not one of those ways.

This is the LIFE of WL, where you have too many damn children, the SORRY!, where somebody knocks your ass back to start, the Chutes and Ladders where chutes are your destiny, the Settlers of Catan with no @#$%ing grain, the Monopoly where your brand spanking new hotels are in obvious need of repair, the Oregon trail where it won't matter a bit if you bring home a squirrel or a bison because you're just going to die of dysentery. This is a few rounds of golf any damn where outside of a vacuum.

If you don't want to play, then you are charged with the strenuous task of clicking your mouse to leave the page. Nothing more. If you DO wish to play, or think you might contribute to making it more fun, then type away and bring something constructive to the table. /endrant

As long as none of the maps are bigger than 400 territories, i'm in.

Thank you people. As it is only a mer 2% I will change the luck setting from 0% and 18% to 0% and 16%. Every map on Warlight is a option. But the chance of getting one bigger then 400 territories is low. But I best ask if you are still interested DrunkenNoobs?

well i definitely wont be playing 1v1 on big usa, big eu or maps like that.

if theres a chance that we'll be playing 1v1 on big maps then i'm out, sorry. :)

New rule: you have to play every boottime setting: 2minutes, 3minutes, 5minutes, 2h, 5h, 1day, 2days and 13h, 3days
(and every possible combination of those as vote to boot, manual boot, and autoboot)

in addition to this you have to roll the dice every time vote/manual boot counter goes down to zero and if you roll an even number, you have to boot, in case the number is odd - you cannot boot.

For a proof you have to publish a youtube video of you rolling dice while eating a muffin.

Skunk, a few things:
1)Why am i not on the list ?
2)stop changing the settings, let people just discuss them for awhile, then decide :P
(most likely this is best done in a chat-game for actual participants)
3)Put me back on the freaking list
4) There should be a consideration about players who won't play one round, if they realy don't like the settings they should be allowed to skip one round.
(again best discussed somewhere else)
5)ignore the troll(Muzzy)

Woops sorry powerneg. And the only setting I have changed was the luck setting options.

I like your idea on skipping a round. But as it is a league we can't simply let people choose when they want to take part. Maybe some sort of penalty or sudden death setting.
