When reloading old team messages in a game you also automatically reload old general messages, which makes (if you are in a very active diplo or other game) that your game has a big chance of crashing or going extremely slow. Weirdly though if you reload old pm messages it does not also reload general and/or team messages.

Why is this mecanic there? And can't they just easily be seperated for a far smoother gaming expirience?

good idea, as well as loading messages 50 at a time.

loading chat is a pain :(

i've been in games where i had to use the standalone client cause my browser would constantly crash if i tried to open chat....

its a shame that this thread never really got the attention it deserves...

this is a big problem, especially for people on bad devices or with slow internet!
