He will not accept defeat when beaten. When you actually play him all he does he give abuse in PM's.
I do not give a fuck if that game stays there forever I wont let him have it. I actually bet he will wait till later and finish his turn and boot me and then go on a mad rant about how great he is.

Sorry I have come across him afew times under different guises but it is just a warning for all out there.

You don't make much of a case for yourself choosing to play a 1 minute boot game with him (or anyone else) and choosing to play 10+ games with him and then ranting about it. Why didn't you take your own advice after any of the 10 games you played against him?

I played him once on normal 1 day boot times and the only chat exchange was "gg" when it was over.

My gaming experience with TGGD is the same as Duke's, though I'm familiar with the thread the trolled the hell out of.

Liquid, take some time in the forums and you'll find that "Emperor" (as he's called now) has a long history of randomly trolling and pissing people off. The reason Duke and CuChulainn have had better experiences with him is because he knows their names and realizes that they will not go for his immature bull. They may have had good experiences, but I guarantee there's a hell of a lot more people that despise him. Just do yourself a favor and avoid him. It's the only way to shut him up.

I'm probably going to regret getting back on the threads, but I had to chime in on this one. I can't stand the idea of "Emporer" being defended. He doesn't deserve it. He deserves to be perma-banned!

I don't think anyone was "defending" him, just didn't think the post was accurate reflection of what happened. There was no waiting around for someone to play and taking the risk of being booted, the last turn was a minute. A one minute game is for jokers to begin with (it will likely result in a boot and anger). The smack talk went both ways and there was a lengthy history of it between the players. Sure Emp was being a sore loser (something I've been guilty of on occassion, although with more decorum), if that's the only point than just say that. Or take your win and walk away without flaming in the forum.

I apologize for misunderstanding your intentions, Duke. I have nothing but respect for you and players like you who play with dignity and respect. Not to mention, you're WAY above me in the WL abilities department. (I'd welcome the opportunity to test myself against you sometime. Feel free to invite me to a game.)

Anyway, as I'm sure you've noticed, I have a bit of a grudge against "Emporer" due to his incessant immature behavior. He has a way of getting under your skin and he's accomplished that time and time again with me. Not to mention the multiple threads he's inspired from other players. I just wish there was regulation on this site to keep people like him from ruining others' WL experiences.

Trolls feed off of attention. The best way to deal with a troll is to just ignore them. I'm sure the sheer number of posts in this forum dedicated to that guy fuels his ego and encourages his behavior because he's getting what he wants out of it: attention, notoriety, etc.

Also, never play 1 minute games unless you want to get booted, or can seriously make your moves that fast. I can't think of any reason why someone would make a game with a 1 minute boot time that isn't based around a desire to boot an opponent who was too slow.

One thing I do love about 1v1s in Warlight is that so long as the boot times are reasonable, it doesn't matter how much of a scumbag your opponent is...you can outplay him and there's nothing he can really do about it. Just ignore the chat, beat him, and move on with your life.

The 1 min boot is not an issue. I just wasn't paying attention to who I was playing. I take it that I did feed the troll and that was immature of me also as I said I was tired and ratty and I wanted to wind him up a little also.

I never go on to the forum only glanced once or twice. I now see the biggest duche player.

Live and learn I suppose, but in saying that he should be dealt with if not for the sake of the community and well to stick it to the fucker!

I'd like to point out once more that I'm aware of the over-trolled thread.

I would also like to point out that I played a 1v1 1min boot small Earth game with the player in question. We both made our moves lightning fast and I ended up winning and he was a very good sport about it.

It's not a defense necessarily but my statement as witness.

if ive clearly won a game or if there are several day breaks in extremely long games, i feel no guilt in booting thats what its there for. and i find it funny that every thread in the forum seems dedicated to he's a douche. and ive played about 50 games on one minute boot with him (sometimes over multi days if one of us has to go) and i dont think hes ever booted me. although he does not know when to surrender but so do half the ppl on this site

Pink: The reason there's so many threads speaking out against him is because he is what we say he is. He's a douche, a troll, an immature asshole, and an outright liar. He's proved all of this multiple times with multiple other players. Just because a few people have had good experiences with him, doesn't mean that he'll be forgiven for the 50 or more other people that have been insulted and verbally abused by him.

The first game he played with me (I was a VERY new player), he immediately started cussing at me when I started attacking his territories (as if we were going to play a 4-player game without attacking each other). When I tried to tell him it's just a game...he started insulting me, my family, and anything else he could think of in the most vulgar way possible.

I realize that I sound like I'm just bitching at this point. Here's why: This bastard damn near singlehandedly got me to quit this site (I know that the players that were in that first game with me don't play on WL any more). He will continue to try to ruin the WL experience for others for no apparent reason. I feel I'm not alone in the sentament that this kind of behavior should not be tolerated by anyone for any reason.

well the new updates have a blacklist coming out so i think all these problems can go away

I hope you're right, Pink. I would LOVE to blacklist that guy. I only wish there was a way to keep his idiotic banter away from newer players.

I am glad to see that he CAN act with civility when the mood strikes him (as he has for you and Duke). If he were to be civil with me today, I probably couldn't forgive him. I could respect a real attempt at an apology, though. I don't know if I'd accept it, but I'd have a little more respect for him. After all the crap he said about my mother (God rest her soul), I don't think that an apology would be enough.

I look forward to seeing that blacklist option and I hope to see you guys on the field. Even if it does mean I'm gonna' get my ass whooped! (Duke whooped me good by the way)

Yeah, Emperor goes on my blacklist as well... I'd guess that in two games with him, he's probably called me gay about 40 times. I'm guessing he's about 11 years old.
