I enjoy reading a lot and I am looking for new ideas outside of my regular hunting ground (which is investing, biographies and psychology).
Everyone who will be so kind, share your favourite book with me and shortly explain what you like about it the most.
My favourite book: Thinking, Fast and Slow (Daniel Kahneman)
Why: It teaches systematical and fundamental errors in decision-making and judgement processes underlined by strong studies which you will immediately recognize in yourself.
It is about a noble who got unhappily married. He eventually kills her wife, which causes his mental state to slowly deteriorate. It is supposed to be a quality book (I chose it for finals at high school from literature). My interpretation may be different from the consensus; however, I think the main theme of the book is the author trying to explain his philosophical views.
I am a mainstream reader 🤷♂️. If you are used to the The Hunger Games i recommand you "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes". It is the prequal to the main story and deals with the young President Snow becoming evil. Its been very gripping.
Big Game by Dan Smith (first book that I've ever gotten as a gift from my school, and even though the details are a bit hazy I still remember the plot)
+1 Very interesting. Everybody says, that romanticism is about ignoring logic and listening only to emotions. Goethe has a very different opinion about that.
