...and I think it's a really bad idea. One of my games is being delayed for 9 days, and another delayed for 11 days, assuming they take all the way to expiration to make their moves. I hope vacation remains unhonored for all future seasons.

A two day boot makes that tricky, but I agree that vacations of more than 5 days should not be honored when everyone is waiting to complete games.

I have the same problem. In addition to this, when a vacation is set they have to leave the ladder, often not returning.

I thought this was dumb, especially in the summer.

i for one think vacation should stay. i recently went on holiday for a week so needed the vacation mode otherwise all my previous playing in this seasons ladder would have been a waste of time.

whats the difference anyway? waiting 9 days isnt the end of the world. in fact its actually an advantage to finish your games later rather than sooner. As people cant judge your rating until you finish

It could be the difference between a game completing within the 2 month timeframe and not completing. The ladder is about halfway done... how many players have completed 6 games yet?

Also I've recently been added to my 11th game... Only 12 games this season, right? Meaning most my games were set up before getting any meaningful ranking information from prior results. How many of the final top 10 will even play each other? Delaying the results of games only makes this effect worse.

I think vacation should remain enabled.

However, the combination of a FFA (4 players, double the probability of a vacation) and holiday season is less than ideal.

this seasonal could be extremely imbalanced if people got booted, since the person beside them could just grab all their territories and get a free win.
it's much more of a problem than in other seasons, therefore it seems obvious to me that vacations must be enabled, maybe with a limitation like 1 week max
