A small note, Frank and I left the 2v2 ladder specifically because of the template change. I don't ever plan to play the 2v2 with the given template.
1v1 template is great, I just suck at it XD

I don't understand why Fizzer feels the need to wait for another poll when this change has clear and obvious support among the portions of WL society that voted for the template change in the first place. This problem is really having more effect than it should considering the ease with which it could be fixed.
Edit: To be clear I was talking about the 2v2 ladder. It should have more starts; 3/4 is a cert, probably more debatable but imo it should have a few more wastelands too.

I used to feel that way too, but the previous polls have been very close-> Not everyone feels the same way. Additionally a poll would decide if it should be 3 or 4 starts, how many (if!) more wastelands +other things. It is best for everyone (us & Fizzer) to wait until he does another poll, imo.

Previous polls have been close....on completely different issues. I have seen a general consensus about this point. In fact I've never seen anyone disagree.
Sure those should be included in the next poll. But a quick fix could be made now by Fizzer which would make the situation at the least better even if it wasn't the best option. The best or I should say most popular option could then be implemented at the next poll.

You misunderstood my pint with the previous polls (it wasn't very clear.. mb); My point was that on these polls you'd also see a very strong consensus for something, yet when the polling time comes it is about 50/50. This might be the same. Just because players don't voice their opinion don't mean they don't have one, that's why the polls are so important even though its just a "quick fix".

I totally understood that a vocal minority is possible, but all evidence we really have so far is that the vocal side is the one wanting the change while the opposition is entirely silent. Vocal majorities are far more common than vocal minorities. So there's no reason to infer that a 50/50 as a likely outcome. While a definitive answer is best, an answer based on a visible consensus is better than none at all. The status quo really is no answer as it was made on the rather arbitrary decision by Fizzer to not consider changing the number of starts in the last polls.
Of course this should have been considered and it would have depended on the map was chosen. Concluding, the reason the definitive answer isn't already known is that the previous polls weren't well thought out enough (should have been templates (including wastelands/picks) voted on rather than maps). Perhaps in the future we should have polls on the polls!

Just about everyone who picked the current 2v2 map assumed a very different template than what Fizzer implemented. This was abundantly clear. The main flaw in the last poll was that fizzer asked for a *map* change and not a *template* change.
