I open a template competition for 3v3, 4v4, 5v5, 6v6, 7v7, 8v8, 9v9, or 10v10 templates. The reward for 1st place is 750 coins (before taxes). You can submit any number of templates. The first deadline is the 1st of January. The second deadline is the 15th of January. You must submit your template before the first deadline and can edit it until the second deadline. All templates must follow the following rules:
0) One army stand guard, Transfer-only and Attack-only ON, unless there is a good reason for it to be off. 1) Variety: the template must output different games. For example, the Scrabble QM template outputs always the same game. Games must be different enough from each other (with manual distribution, optimal picks for one game shouldn't be optimal for another game). 2) Clarity: the template must have relatively simple settings. Don't have too many cards, or too many settings on. Every card/ setting presented in the template should be functional and if turned off, the template quality should significantly worsen. 3) Complexity: optimal moves in the game shouldn't be obvious. The more you play the template, the better you should be. You still have something to learn even after your 100th game. Strat 1v1 is a good example of where this holds. 4) Luck under control: the game should be won by the better team, not the luckier team. Luck is unavoidable, but don't make the template feel like a lottery. 5) Fast-paced: don't make the game last too many turns (it should last ~10 turns). Don't make players do too many orders. Don't give players too big income (typically, if a person reaches ~40 income, it should mean that their team has already won).
Doesn’t have a template name. In a 3v3 test game in single player the game was clearly decided after 7 turns (after 10th is just eliminating the other team). I don’t have a multiplayer test game.
OP only asks for template link, not games. 10v10 won’t fill in RT and likely take very long to fill with open seats (most games are done through QM so less people check the open games page, and about half will probably boot anyway).
