There's 2658 public maps right now (https://www.warzone.com/Maps). That's the same as the number on 10/27 when Fizzer did his AMA (https://youtu.be/1MpTFhudlV4?t=2931), so there couldn't be many such maps made non-public.

What's the reason for suspecting 3D compatibility? I think we should probably just wait for Fizzer to respond before presuming what his reason is.

It's also possible he came across it because it entered the QM rotation two days ago, played a game on it, and found an issue with it. Perhaps someone could search the last few days of QM games for any that Fizzer played on Trippel-Tafl, and we could check the chat to see whether he expressed his issues there.

OP is the mapmaker for T-T and says he wasn't contacted by Fizzer for map issues.

Yep, so no one knows why Fizzer took it down. Lionheart was also just speculating, presumably based on the issues he anticipates the map would have given its innovative hidden layer system.

based on his qm rating of 10 on the map, it is most likely fizzer played 1 match on this template when it got auto-added and won then unchecked it.

it is likely the addition to QM rotation triggered it getting noticed by fizzer either directly or by the new players playing it reporting it.

I found this game with Fizzer and if you notice the chat conversation from turn 7 onwards, this problem was mentioned regarding the Trippel-Tafl map and he said that it should have been rejected.

- Fizzer "Oh overlapping territories aren't supposed to exist"
- Fizzer "Ideally the map should have been rejected, but if it wasn't then you slipped past the review"

That's why I'm speculating about it but somehow I wasn't warned about it after that .

Ah, so that's the objection. But they work so well in Trippel-Tafl!

Yes, it works in 2D but doesn't work well in 3D mode.

Is there a way to make Trippel-Tafl overlapping bonuses work well in 3d mode? Can't you just zero out the heightmaps or something?

I can't believe we're losing a novel, interesting game format over a gimmick no one asked for and most everyone opts out of.

If it's not republished- it's still playable, right? We can still create games on it by using past games that have the map, right? So it can still be used for clan league and such.

Yes it's still playable and you can still create games on it

It's not an unplublished map it's "retired" so I cant confirm how it works

Btw, a funny fact is that I feel like i just walked through customs with some illegal under my clothes and the cop caught me days later.
