Ever since the points and achievemnts came up along with WL 2.0, i'm sure everyone have seen a lot of players who have made troll games such as duel and quadrels and big 99% luck ffas to farm points.
one of the things that confused me was that many WL members participated/made troll games like these, many players who i'd never have thought of doing such an act.
I suppose this question is a bit stupid, since i too have a membership account, but I want to ask, why do members play these games? Don't you guys already have all options unlocked? is it just for the sake of getting into that top 10 list?
I'v played a few troll games myself, but only on my non-membership account, so that i dont have to switch around everytime i want to play eu 3v3 or guiroma 2v2.
by what you are saying i suppose you take many ffa games as trolling and what i have to reply to you is that you should think about your own choices rather than criticizing... if you are only talking about the settings specifically made for someone i totally agree with you
1) what is local deployment?
2) Apparently game size has increased to 40, I heard that new members are only allowed 20, is there a higher limit? Can I put an end to rumours?
3) Are there any other things Fizzer has put into Warlight in the 2.0 update which weren't levels, achievements and points 1 and 2.
Seems to me like the fact that so many people are making these "troll" games and so many other people are actively participating in them, that maybe they're not really "troll" games at all?
Like, does everyone not read the settings before they play a game? There are a lot of game-types that I don't particularly ever want to play, so I don't click on those games, lol. This is like every time I saw someone freaking out in a "Zion Diplomacy" game over the fact that the guy with the ILLUMINATI username shtick obviously made ZION diplomacy to have special rules regarding Israel, and yet the game starts and literally shitloads of people start crapping into their own mouths "OMG ILLUMINATI CHEATER TROLL GAVE ISRAEL 2000 SOLDIERS WTF BULLSHIT CHEATER REPORT BLACKLIST" hahaha. It's as easy as reading.
From what I've seen, the only good thing about the points/achievement implementation (which doesn't seem to represent anything important or relevant, lol) is actually that they are encouraging people to play weird game types! I love the weird maps and weird rule sets that are clever, and fun to play, would love for that to happen all day haha. The world and USA and Europe and Ancient Rome are fun and all but it gets old.
this guy, i think, is illummanti^
has supported him multiple times, from suspicious diplomacy games to boot times.
but back on topic, yeah, if its anything, i guess some players are looking forward to finding out about 'local deployment', while i think some people jsut farm to get on the list. :/
@hedja: I dont think games size will be allowed to go to 40, that would be really, really messy.
1) No idea.
2) Maybe.....When you try to put in more than that it only says: "You may not invite blah blah" Doesn't say WarLight can't handle that number (which if I remember correctly, it did say before the update).
3) Doubt it :(
Arun, you dont know the answers to any of these questions, which is why I must find out for the good of warlight :P
Pulsey, people have said that since the Single-player template size has increased to 40 it must do so for the multi-player as well. I am interested to verify this or not. Also I support your idea that that guy is illuminati :)
First off, we don't know that we have everything unlocked as members. Fizzer has not been clear about that (said he is withholding intel). Frankly, I'd be mad if members NEVER unlock anything.
Also, we already know that map makers can set levels for their maps. So if someone comes out with a new map, members may not be able to play it if not a high enough level.
Not saying I condone farming, just saying there are reasons to do so, even if a member.
Chris, we do know that members don't have all the features just by being a member, an example is local deployment a setting no one can use yet afaik.
I think the thing about single player is that in custom scenario you suddenly get a lot of slots (40 different?) leading to ppl concluding that means at some point we'll be able to have 40 players (1 for each slot).
That is what I am saying. There are some features we don't have. What they are entirely, we don't know. I'm not going to farm all day myself (it is simply boring IMO, nor do I have the time), but I do look forward to leveling up as I play more normal allotment of games. I will say I have probably played about a dozen random games I would not have otherwise without the level system, but that is about it.
