Alright. It's ready to start testing and polishing. If you notice any missing or confusing connections, or have any advice, please let me know.

I'm thinking Iran needs another port on the southeast side, right now there are 26 total bonus units for the country and a choke point of only 5 territories. Also think I need to do something about Eastern Anatolia Region(East Turkey). I can't think of a good way to split it up, or if it's ok to have such a vast bonus.

@Burka-nissen: Yeah, we could look at adding some capital bonuses. Also, any ideas on other bonuses(religous, political, campaign) just let me know.

Edit: There are a few territories I need to expand, so I am aware of the ones that are too small.

Wow, that was fast, but:

Egypt has been swallowed by the sea :C
Check your visible sea-connections, IE Socotra

I'm not sure what's causing that glitch, it doesn't show up during gameplay, just on the map preview.

Socotra has been fixed, thanks :)

I would have done it a lot differently.

Just a suggestion, I think you should use the plates that the 1066 map uses for boats. More realistic. Also, Kuwait might be divided too finely, maybe you should have a zoom on that.

Well for one I would add at least 100 extra territories, dividing up all the country-sized territories. Especially Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. Secondly, I would edit larger border lines between bonuses so they are more easily recognizable, and probably add colours too.

Ah, in my workflow, offsetting the bonus borders and doing colors is one of the last steps. There's no reason to spend time doing that while borders and bonuses aren't still final. Of course I'm going to do that before finishing.

For consistency, what I've done is split each country into its first level divisions, it seems it would be strange to split some countries into provinces and others down into smaller districts, wouldn't it?

@Жұқтыру: I don't like those plates, they make things too messy and cluttered for me. I don't want to add another cut-out, but enlarging Kuwait is on my list. There's plenty of room to do it.

I have one for Israel, one for Gaza, and one for the West Bank. The new version has one for Tel Aviv as well. Are you just not seeing those?

Divide the island of Cyprus into 2

And also, really check your sea connections. I see many confusing spots/missing visible connections, not just Socotra.

And I really think the plates system would be worth it; it would be much easier to spot missing connections (and thus, correct).

I haven't been making changes to the version I linked earlier, this is the most current version:

https://www.warlight.net/SinglePlayer?PreviewMap=38859

There was a problem with Mersin(Turkey) connecting with Linassol(Cyprus), and Istanbul not connecting with the Aegean Sea, but those have been fixed. I haven't found any other errors in the sea connections.

If there are any I'm unaware of, I'd appreciate specifics. For example, I still don't see the issue with Socotra.

I doubt Fizzer will publish it with those ginormous territories.

What's the problem with them specifically? I want the map to be accurate, would you suggest just arbitrarily dividing them into North Eastern Province, Central Eastern Province, South Eastern Province kind of things?

I'd divide it far more than that. The problem with it is that the number will be tiny inside this giant territory.

Gonna take a bit to offset all the bonus borders, but I'm working on it.

Thinking about possible super-bonuses:

Kurdistan

ISIS

Shia/Sunni

Any other ideas?

That Shia and Sunni map looks awfully inaccurate. Russia is bare of almost any Islam (according to the map), so is Nakchivichan and Nagorno-Kabarakh. Also, I don't remember Shi'a being that big...just Iran and Azerbaijan, plus 40% of Iraq.

The problem is though that most of these countries are made up of mainly uninhabitable desert with most of the population living I settlements along the rivers. When these countries divide up, they ideally want each of their counties/regions/provinces/whatever to have a similar population. This means some sub-divisions will take up a large area because most of the land there is empty desert bordering the towns and cities with a notable population.

I don't think that's so much of a problem, if you manage your boni well enough.
