I've been looking for a map of Europe that brings the focus off of the great western powers. I wanted to see more interaction between the much smaller Balkans, Baltics, Russia, and the Slavic States. I couldn't find a map that accomplished this. I'd do this myself, but my last try at a map ended miserably. I was wondering if somebody would be willing to make this. I was thinking a range of Berlin/Brandenburg in the West, over to the edge of the actual international border of "Europe." Thanks for reading this over.

I'd say probably precisely the oposite about Europe maps. Almost always Russia is oversized and worth alot more than other territories meaning historic scenarios are unbalanced. Aditionally, in maps like Huge Europe and Modern Europe, the Balkans and Baltics are very overpowered.

Russia has Moscow and St. Petersburg and a few other large cities but apart from that, there is barely anything. The GDP of the area and other things like that are also alot lower. Also have you ever played a diplo game based on modern day in Europe? Russia is rediculously overpowered in these scenarios.

@Bane: That'll end badly, trust me. @Genghis: yeah, Paris-St. Petersburg is a terrible map. I was considering using it for diplo, so it would probably need a lot of territories, and pretty big to accommodate those territories @Mr.Oobling: Which is why I'm going to suggest that Russia be more cleverly Bonused. Give the cities and their surrounding area high bonuses, while the farmlands and arctic wastelands are worth much less. Another way to solve this is to overpower everything except Russia, so they're equal.

In these diplo games is Russia only for a few territories overpowered, but for many underpowered. Moscow is just 4 instead of 5, while it is a giantic city with 11.000.000 inhabitants. Saint Petersburg only has 2 armies per turn, while its bigger then berlin. Maybe Siberia is a little overpowered, but the west barely has territories with 3 armies per turn, while it is nearely as populated as France, and quite big. And the south of Russia is full of large cities but all those territories are just worth 1 army. (Irkutsk, Vladiwostok, Jekaterineburg, Samara, Omsk, Ufa)

I am making a map of Russia right now. It will have 1800-2200 territories, but I am afraid most armynumbers won't fit.

Population is not the only factor when determining a territories worth. There is also GDP, Education, Crime, Poverty, Health, Unemployment, Resources, Production, development, enviroment and so the list goes on.

They wouldn't be giant but they would be more acurate to their actual importance. America is a far stronger and important nation than India despite having a much smaller population.

Don't deny it, USA is probably just as important as China as well (and religion really does not make much difference- India is much further behind than China today)
