really? noting has changed, think of it as a new setting (like Local deployment), if you don't like it then don't play it. I honestly don't see any issues with Fizzer getting some well-deserved money.

It's even more ridiculous to complain now that you can hide the coin games. The addition of Coin games has had ZERO impact on the game other than an additional tab between multiplayer and community. That is literally the extent of the changes to Warlight once the hide option is selected.

It's not necessarily the coin feature itself, but the fact that Warlight would stoop to such a level. This game used to be kid-friendly, gambling has poisoned my concept of warlight. Some of us feel this gradual monetization of Warlight is toxic and will inevitably lead to it becoming a P2W.

I'm not sure people realise that this was added because it is what the community was asking for, and were voting for on uservoice.

Almost every single one of the most popular flash/facebook/mobile games, which are kid friendly, have some kind of monetization feature, and usually those give you gameplay benfefits.

Saying that it's 'stooping to such a level' to add an OPTION for some people to spend money on the game is childish.

Saying you think it will lead to P2W is even more ridiculous, since WL has always specifically spoken out against it.

Dairiy, you clearly think Fizzer is just ripping people off, greedy, and wealthy(from comments in other threads). Even if that were true(and from what I've read WL hasn't been profitable), it wouldn't matter, and would still only show your sense of entitlement.

i don't see why it ceased to be kid friendly because of coins. They get some for free, they use them, they understand the value of money in todays society and they go back to playing the free games until they can get a job.

which is far from true. no such item was high on uservoice demand and 90% of the players in warlight were taken by surprise. i do agree that it seems to be a welcome addition to the top players, i'm not entirely convinced of it yet, but then again i'm not top player yet either nor have i any particular interest in getting money by playing warlight even though i do enjoy highly competitive strategy gaming. i have a slight fear the highly competitve strategy gaming on warlight will become reduced to coin games only, if that day comes i'll probably retire once i'm out of coins, but so far it hasn't been so, so game on.

There is something problematic, it can become addicted children to gamble, luckily I have a blockage due to state it is illegal to gamble.
But a normal child enters and bet it can indulge in the gambling, but it's my opinion, you can think differently

Well .. i wonder why you blame Fizzer for being inventive getting an additional income. The pre-coin functionality of WL remains untouched. Also, i cannot fully grasp your reasoning about gambling kids: just tell em to play WL on Kongregate. There, no coins in sight.

You know what I'm stuck looking at no matter what pub I walk into In australia and nz. Poker machines and sports betting machines. These are fucking everywhere. These are in kid friendly places.


I go down mainstreet in any real town here, because nz doesn't offer cities. I walk by brothels and strip clubs.

My only issue with the coins is that anytime you throw money into the equation, corruption always follows. However, since I don't use coins and never will it's not going to effect me.

I won't be surprised if the coin system eventually goes to crap due to mass cheating and exploiting though.
