for example, https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/441197-warzone-order-clipboard can be a major competitive advantage on real-time LD maps, when the deploying and transfering takes up a large portion of the available time

Are similar things approved of in WZI? for example, a script to swap out artifacts would save a lot of clicking

Ones which send automatic network requests to Warzone aren’t allowed, unless it uses an actual API. Everything else is probably fine.
Automating gameplay isn’t something I’d make, I consider it cheating.

while i am not likely to get around to this, there are a number ways to finesse the UI, for instance a "buy" button next to the alloy/item "sell" button. this can be done without making network requests on ones' own by wrapping the original UI

since this is a game about numbers going up it is probably most aesthetic to not even try to hide the original UI, although one could do this by moving it off-screen

i would read the terms of service. in multiplayer, i imagine using a userscript gives an unfair advantage and breaks the Terms of Service. (that being said, players do unfair things all the time)

in idle i dont see how it would matter, the issue arises when you try to sell those scripts, so best to keep this to yourself i guess no worry then

it is Fizzer Official that the ToS exists for in case someone sues him, but the real rules are on i think this page https://www.warzone.com/wiki/Rules

we can also look at https://www.warzone.com/wiki/Warzone_Idle_FAQ#Cheating
> Do not attempt to modify the game data, modify your system clock, or automate the game in any fashion except as provided within the game's normal UI.

which, sure, makes sense, but what is automating? Is calculating an improved recipe stats panel automating[1]? My intuition says no. What about moving the Auto-Conquer toggle box to the top of the advancements list to reduce scrolling? That's certainly a modification to the game's normal UI but I also suspect it would be alright. What about a "buy" button next to an alloy that opens the market for that alloy? You could argue that that's automation but removing the player task "scroll through list of markets to find market that has thing" doesn't change the nature of the game at all or improve performance, so I would suspect that that's also legit.

This thread is to ask about these things.

[1] it doesn't show the "techs need" stat for recipes that have not been unlocked (but which are in markets), which makes it much less useful than it should be.

Imagine opening QM and playing Siege LD.
Now imagine doing it without that user script.

I mean, technically, using autopilot also offers a competitive advantage on big maps in RT where it's going to save a lot of time deploying everything (and you can then cancel the orders you don't want to make). I assume it would have the same effect with LD games too.

(double posts ftw)

muli's userscripts changes the UI and some other things, but it is hardly considered cheating. just a big quality of life improvement

i am aware that it is easy enough to make an arbitrary amount of undetectable automation, however, if i am going to be engaging in this junk why would i want to have less junk to engage in?

someday i will quit this junk
