I've started hosting a series of games where I use a random number generator (random.org) to determine all of the settings (minus stuff like surrenders being accepted instantly, which is always on, or players turning into AI, on in team games, off elsewhere). I don't participate in them, since I am familiar with the settings, which would give me an advantage over other players, and also I'm really more interested in spectating them to see if there's any random setting combinations which could actually be fun to re-use for one reason or another... and I just enjoy observing chaos in general, including whether players actually know how to play and how they use the randomness to their advantage or not. I don't randomize every setting, I will be attempting to decide a few things in advance so that the game isn't a complete dumpster fire, but rather a game with unorthodox settings which can still be enjoyable/beatable (but might end up making something unplayable by accident anyway, oops.) Either way, it will make for original gameplay, at least. You can join if you're bored and it's probably a good idea to also be cool with the idea of s u f f e r i n g. I'll be joining FFAs myself (unless it's small) since the chaos of these games means I won't be getting much of an advantage through knowing the settings anyway (well, maybe if i don't feel like it and feel like I have too many games or something, I won't... depends on my mood).
For this one, I locked in some settings so that it has settings closer to a strategic 1v1. But there's a lot of variation within that, of course, and it's a very strange template nonetheless. I wanted to make a 1v1 template again since I will be hosting another tournament soon.
Also, if anyone is ever interested to be a regular fixture in these, I can send invites.

this is not entirely related but it is randomized... and it's going to be as chaotic as anything else in here, so i'll advertise it here for anyone interested: https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=52407 It's Issander's Strategic Africa (the old Elitist Africa map, with non-visible bonus bubbles) with randomized bonuses in range from -1000 to 1000.

Game #5 is open, and it's a free-to-join coin game! It's a 2v2 with the "better don't fail an attack" mod and complete fog (isn't this going to be fun?)
Wow, it filled so fast! Truly, offering coins to participants does wonders. From now on, all games will include a modern coin rewards to discourage surrenders and encourage actually playing the game. If you wish to be invited to future games, let me know.

Just came by to say: No, it won't be fun, Better Don't Fail + Complete Fog is a terrible combination and you know it

It got rolled randomly, that's the beauty of it! I'm sure you're exaggerating and that it will be an amazing game. It can't be that bad, surely, haha.... can it?
