I'm finding out the hard way that aus/indo isn't worth it when the other player has antarctica. So what if I take Australia at turn 2, antarctica has a double border on me at turn 2.

Or do you think I'm wrong about that?

Pushover, youre quite right, antarctica counters australia but...

If you take aus first and he takes ant first you have a 10v8 income advantage and leftovers in all the right places. If he doesnt take ant first then his counter is more likley to suceed.
If you got aus/indo you could simply complete indo first, nice and safe, and take new zealand by turn 2, if he completes ant then you have higher income and are closer to his bonus and in a great position.
You could go for a boston special and simply pick ant 1st (or indo first and ant second, which is probably what id go for.) followed by indo and then aus.

Or you could lie your laptop down so the screen is completely flat, and wait for your cat to wander onto the screen and sit down. Then just pick whichever bonuses his paws touch first, as teddy clearly did.

Personally I suggest the cat sitting option.

I defnitely wouldnt go Aus/indo combo here, too risky. indo as 1 wipes the possibility of opopnent trying the combo, and its a decent safe pick. if oppoentn does get indo, then i get ant, which counters the aus combo if he tried it. C rus is good bonus here, i dont usually spoil, but caus is too good a counter here.

Well if you picked like that against white youd have got 134 and hed have got scand ant and sa. Dont you think hes a little better off than you? Youll probably meet just as he finishes scand and you try to finish w russia. He will work out where you picked and then sacrafice scandd to get to arkhangelsk and gg?

Against green youd both get a whole bunch of nothing. I cant see how that would play out.
