Higher rated clans have much lower "no game" rate.

Ok, let's define the situation first (by stating the facts). Then we'll look at the problem. After that, I'll offer my solution.

Please criticize only if you have a better solution, let's not make this thread a heaven for people who criticize everything without having anything better to solve a problem.

Fact-1: High activity, low skill clan like Prime is getting 2nd spot on Clan Wars (CW) while low activity, high skill clan like Python is getting worse spots.

Fact-2: Clans like Prime, having very low Clan War Rating (CWR) while clans like Python having very high rating

Fact-3: Low CWR makes clans face weak opponents (means higher wins & more CW points) while high CWR makes clans face strong opponents (means lower wins & less CW points)

Fact-4: Clans with high spot should have high CWR while clans with low spot should have low CWR

Problem: Prime, getting 2nd spot by beating noobs while Optimum beating best players and still having 4th spot is not fair.

Solution: Make CWR also affected by clan ranking. This way, clans will get high spots through actually deserving them

What would be the noobs-to-elitist ratio? How many noobs do I have to beat so that would equal to "1 beaten elitist"?

- In my suggestion, there is no need for "noobs-to-elitist" ratio. Let's say that 700 is the highest CWR and 0 is the lowest. If Prime gets 2nd spot with 200 CWR, they should start next season with at least 350-400 CWR (because they were the second best).

Sorry, I must have misunderstood the initial post.

All this is being discussed while the current season looks like the most active one in a while. So is CW dying? When? Why hasn't it yet?

Everybody knows that CW is objective dead because of:
- bad rewards
- unbalanced templates
- stale templates
- walrus clans eating small oyster clans
- bad matchmaking (we are in here now)

If you want to see how dead CW is, just look that the very first slot of this season.
NEVER has any slot had this count of players.

CW won't die simply b/c it's the most convenient and easiest form of clan competition

Literally: Join Clan, sign up for a CW game, play game; congrats, you are now competing in CW

But don't mistake "not dying" (or even thriving/growing) with "no room for improvement"

Many of us argue/campaign for that improvement despite being avid CW'ers

And because we are avid cw players we KNOW what the problems are, how to address them, and even possible problem solving

Also, it's hardly fair to call Prime a "low skill" clan, their win ratio is better than most.

Never said low skill, you did!

Chart is nice, shows how 100-300 rating is the sweet spot if you want higher win ratio than your rating would suggest.

700 rating even sweeter.
