Give the new ladder update, do you think that will cause an increase in MTL players?

Will the boot time always stay as it currently is? If it will be changed, in what way?

I believe the only thing that could cause a significant increase in MTL players would be an implementation on the website (and app).

However, if Fizzer despite all resistance introduces the 1 day boot timer for ladders and MTL becomes the only format with reasonable boot time, that would surely benefit its popularity. That's not a scenario we can be hoping for though.

it happened, i tried the new 1v1 ladder, and i left it before finishing a single game

once my existing games are done, ill join the MTL :)

Sure. It got sabotaged by Fizzer, so that MTL will not pose competition to official Warzone ladders.
