Question about Simultaneous Levels: 2023-05-11 13:14:11

Hi,

as I am now in that state, where I earn more AP, as I need for faster progress, I invested in Simultaneous Levels.
As I saw almost no advantage, I realized, that this is perfect for a good digging strategy. Currently I dig only 100% Commons and Uncommons higher 85%. I manage my digs, that I have an uncommon dig each night, with some buffer around. The parallel levels are a big support, as I have now always the perfect digging location on hand, while I can try different strategies in other levels even with the risk to fail.
As all parallel levels share the common artifacts here comes my question:
Which artifacts are used by the level running in background?
a) those, which where selected, when the level went to background
b) those, which are active when the level is opened again
c) all levels are calculated every time (even in the background) with the current selected artifacts

Has somebody looked already deeper in this?

My observation is, that with parallel levels I run each day in 1 to 3 memory exhausts, where either my browser (FF 102.11 ESR) freezes or WZI gives an memory exception message. It is not related to system memory (as there is usually 60% free memory available) and it does not happen, when I play only one level in parallel. So it might be, that c) is the reason?

Maps do not progress while you are not playing them. They get updated retroactively when you return to them (or when you use the "Update All" button that you get from Hardened Europe Huge). I presume this uses whatever artifacts you have equipped at the moment you return to the map or press that button.

(which means if you forgot some important passive in one level just equip it on another and update that level, that gotta be quite convenient lol)

Both artis and (auto) advs depend on what is equipped when opening the lvl. That means you can claim idle time in one level, swap artis, turn on/off Autos, if you can upgrade some advs(or even reset and spent them elsewhere) and claim another lvl with those

From your answers, I think, that option b) is how it works.
I can just now just in time confirm that, as I had an Europe Huge running with an Rare Speedy Crafters equipped.
Unfortunately I reopened it, with an Hospital boost equipped, and realized, that my two magnets were not ready yet.
So it looks like, that you should have one level, where the Artifacts have no (or no big) influence, which you can open first, to change artifacts. You should also open this level and sync it, before changing to mobile device for getting a bonus. Unfortunately when opening the app, it opens immediately the last active level instead of the level selection page.

Definitely (b) and yes, the way the app opens is suuuuper inconvenient. It _should_ open to the map selection page and give you the option to both swap artifacts AND ALSO advancements there before entering any map

Why advancements? B/c of the AUTO-adv's, imagine if you were AQ'ing or even worse AUAC, auto-mercs, etc, which are meant specifically for that level ... but you restart the game and suddenly it throws you into the OTHER map and nasty stuff happens. Using MLs can be a huge face palm moment when stuff like that happens
