The point is not a definitive conclusion on who is better (I agree it's a pretty even match) but we're playing for a CW season's worth of the other's contributions.

I have requested that this game be part of the challenge (waiting on Texx's response) subbing for the Final Earth 2v2, the rules of which have been part of speculation and negotiation. So I say we bypass the the sticky 2v2 and use a high quality seasonal game instead.

It's fairly conclusive that they're about equal. Maybe I misunderstood, but wasn't the premise of this that most thought that Orcus should destroy Texx, with a small segment saying 'naw, Texx will dominate' - essentially, both sides falling into extremes of 1 dominating over the other. So effectively this means both were wrong, neither is dominating, they're actually roughly even.

But there will still be a winner ... and doesn't the loser have to join the others' clan for 1 season? So there's still a need to finish and deliver a winner. Or was that some other challenge and that's why Texx was in 101st last season?

No. I play in 101st because I have lotsa fwiends. I wanted to play with the ones that weren’t in Harmony.

Anyway, Alex’s 6-5 thing it complete nonsense. So Kobe’s 2010 championship, and LeBron’s ‘13 and ‘16 championships don’t count because they only won 4-3. Man City only beat Liverpool 93-92 in the 21-22 season. Didn’t win by enough though so it doesn’t count. But when Liverpool beat them 2 seasons earlier 99-81, well that championship is 18x more valuable because all games are decided by how hard you beat someone.

By the way Texx has agreed to count the seasonal game instead of a Final Earth 2v2 game.

And Texx takes the seasonal special. Score is now Texx 5- Orcus 4, and I'm on the brink of elimination. Note Texx and I are both top 10 on the seasonal at time of this writing, so this game was important both within and outside the challenge.

And we have our first and potentially last elimination game as I have to win to force a game 11 or play a season of CW for Harmony. I've chosen SE1W to make my stand, if game 11 happens it will be on cyclic comm bomb. Game will be created once I double check what boot settings we agreed on.

Maybe it is time to reevaluate the rewards for the winner? Since when the bet was set, a lot has changed in CW and clan meta.

If Texx wins, sending Orcus to Harmony looks like a lose-lose scenario:
- Optimum is going solid top-2, so that will be a straight coin loss for him.
- Currently, Harmony CW roster is so full, that their managers decide to (or have to) play for CW in other clans in order to free the roster for everybody who want to try CW. So sending Orcus to Harmony will just strip one more roster slot from genuine clan members.

Maybe change the rewards for "the winner gets to play in Optimum for 1 season and the loser goes to Harmony"? Sending Texx to Optimum would be a win-win scenario: more coins for him (which he can funnel to Harmony tournaments) and a free roster slot for Hamony members.

PS. I am open to anyone from MB to challenge me to a bo-11 with the "loser goes to opposite clan for 1 CW season" reward.

No. As it is I play for Optimum and Texx plays for Harmony. If the reward for my winning is that I play for Optimum and Texx plays for Harmony, then we can call off the challenge right now. I don't know anything about Harmony's internal CW preference, but I have more CW wins this season than any of their players including Texx, and that's with OP matchups (CAB isn't getting 14 with my strength of schedule). So if Harmony values wins in CW they would be advised to let me fulfill my side of the bet. If they value clan participation than I propose Texx come play for Optimum to let more of his clanmates play ;).

harmony values harmony players above all. when the wager was made harmony didn’t fill its roster as fast as now. so i would say figure out an alternative
