Will the "normal" templates be considered automatically, or do I have to track down game links and formally nominate them?

Alright, so I'm seeing a lot of unconventional templates being suggested here. I think it would be best to use decent templates (aka mainly MTL templates) with not too unconventional settings. I therefore think it's better to look at potential sets of templates, so there will be a balance between templates with different kind of settings.

Lots of great template suggestions, and thanks to all those that posted links (with a special thanks to GaK <3).

I have a few in mind from the ones I've seen, but if anybody has any other templates that aren't commonly played that they would like to see please feel free to suggest. I think we have enough decent templates that we won't have to resort to the overplayed ones like French Brawl for this.

If you want to play a template to see if it is good, feel free to invite me, I will gladly play a game with you. Except Hopscotch. I do not
play Hopscotch. I can also give you commentary on templates I have played.

I bet on Marcus chosing some weird templates. But only after all teams have been registered. So there is no way out ^^

Will the games be created game by game or as a built-in tournament? If as tournament iirc experimental mods can’t be used. I’m unsure of which types of mods are allowed via create game API, if any.

Games will be created in rounds (weeks apart at specific dates) by API

MME, Malvia, FB, Greece, BoA, MasterMania, all traditional ones!

Marcus has said he wants this to be a serious competition. If so he should at least choose real strategic templates that have been somewhat vetted by the community. As an example picking Yorkshire Brawl instead of French Brawl (even though IMO Yorkshire is an inferior template) so that things are a bit different would be the kind of thing I would support. Picking something like Mace No Split that has weird settings and while not entirely unstrategic most people have no clue what to play would be not.

When are templates released? When are each rounds? In which distance are this rounds? When are first rounds drawn?
