Consider it a compliment, just like when someone accuses you of being a hacker because you are too good

There’s no basis to their accusation that you are an alt. It’s 3 player FFA, if 2 players meet early on other expands and wins.
Most obvious case is lower level (<level 50) and playing really well. New players tend to play badly, but there is a chance that it is just a good new player.
I’ve successfully accused 2 player of being alts in 1v1 games. It’s not very common (<0.1% of all my games), but really unusual if someone inexperienced beats me.

So relatable! When I use my alt in global chat, some people accuse that account of being an alt, though I tell them why this can't be.

Also, I remember another case. It happened not to me, but to a legit another player. (Seriously, not an alt of mine).
He was accused of using alts in games (namely CW games) by lots of people. He tried to tell them, why that cant be true, but no one believed him. In the end, he just deleted his account :(

@5s woah woah chill. btw, for context, 5s is talking about NONO, a major alt scheme to rig clan wars that was succesfully defeated by a community effort (especially @eternity) thus clearly 5s is accusing quincy of being an alt without proper evidence. also note the first paragraph

@danwl is correct. there was no reason for the accusation. looking at history, when quincy didn't attack sec1 it was with valid reason

essentially he's saying he doesn't understand why you 2 didn't fight each other and die, then let him win

in 3FFAs, that's a common result, but if the first 2 realize "hey we're gonna fight and die and let him win, maybe we should you know maybe expand so we still have a shot to win ourselves" then everything changes

basically when someone says they think you're an alt it's because you have a higher skill level than your experience would suggest. In this scenario I think they were just spiteful about grey attacking him and you winning. Happens all the time :p
