Finally someone was able to convince Mark. Almost lost all hope on that regard. You wont regret that decision, I am absolutely convinced.

I have both insane and legendary AV. I max AV advancement since I need 8000 AP in phase2 and starting with tech gave me the extra 15%.

that can be used to calculate how much profit changed at different AV values but can't be compared to these fresh ones since I don't even remember which market I used back then lol.

For the record, I just finished USA and money from Territories (epic boost) was 2T, money caches (epic with 50% tech before cashing out most) was 3T, money from items (epic) was 1.5T, money from Bonuses (epic) was 1 T (Bonus money with the market strategy is always low when you only take territories where the hospitals can save 100% until you max them out and try to clear the remainder of the map). Ore sales (rare) were under 1T. However, money from alloy sales was 19T (epic).

Clearly, getting a legendary AV has a very big bang for the buck.

In fact, I am planning to downgrade money cache, bonus boost and item boost to rare and trade in the epic artifacts to make AV legendary before tackling Huge Europe in this pass. I may even try Hard Trisk and Hard Europe before ascending again.

I ended USA with plenty of mercs. after 3 days (spent 1 day smelting samarium to get the 50% cache tech) but lost about 8 hours waiting for money to buy them. (My earlier opinion of being okay with epic AV was based on having plenty of money with the early maps. That ended with Hard Scand, Hard China and Trisk.)

If you haven’t taken the Epic Triple Strike from completing Hardened Copper Creek Castle I agree you should do this

I personally like stopping at Epic for Hospital Boost and Time Warp. Hospital Boost has diminishing returns (10% -> 12% -> 14%) versus what you might expect. Epic TW is already enough for a full hospital upgrade so it’s really just a dig accelerator and Battle artifact beyond Epic. That said, lots of others like these so it’s really up to you.

Army Cache Boost is pretty widely recognized as a Top 2 artifact in the game and Top 1 in late stage play. I agree if you’re going to make another Legendary it should be this.

Quick update. I just finished trisk again for the digs (no IM this time because I was determined to do lots of digging) and got an epic on a 2% dig. So I traded in my epic money cache (had a spare rare one), my epic army camp boost (also had a spare rare) and my epic QS (replaced with uncommon) to upgrade AV to legendary. Now I have a 5 day wait (WHY????????) so I'll keep digging to, hopefully, bring my ACb back to epic. Then I'll play trisk again to see what the time improvement and alloy sale money increase are. BTW, I had so much spare time while digging I was able to get the level up 2000 points for completing all the techs. The 5 day wait is frustrating. Losing 4 epics should be enough punishment.

Finished Afro-Eurasia Gargantuan and started Triskelion.

Had leftover mercenaries in AEG so spent all AP in Triskelion on Mercenary Discount. I had enough AP to max MD @ 50% discounts.

Additional Mercenaries still @ 75%
Increased Army Camp Production @ 490%

Is there anyway to increase the accumulation of AP?

The amount of AP you get for clearing a level can be boosted by a phase 3 advancement, one of the super ascension bonuses, and a clan war bonus. Also anything that helps you to clear levels faster increases the rate you get AP.

I invested in AM back there and in AEG level didn't have enough money to buy them all. Hopefully with Mercenary Discount now maxed there will be no spare mercs.

Just finished Trisk w/ leg AV. Money from alloys jumped from 16t to 27t and money from bonuses and territories was cut in half (indicating faster time to complete). Since I spent more on alloys in the markets, the net profit was less than double from the epic AV run. I estimate about a 50% increase (other alloy advancements limit the gain). Mining, smelting and crafting to get techs for hospital cost, hospital improvements, merc discounts, and cache 50% increase were where the most time was spent. I figure I saved about half a day. Completed the map in 3 days 6 hours but spent another 8 hours in cooldown and completing a dig. Six hours for this map seems impossible w/o insane SAC (I don't have the supercamp). Overall, getting legendary AV was very good but legendary AcacheB and SAC are now on my must-have list. Both are currently at epic.

I'm on Triskelion. 3 days 6 hours! I'm doing something wrong.

Unicorn, I used legendary AV. With epic AV, it took 5 days without using Inspire Mercs. I took the hospitals and markets, upgrading the hospitals to level 4 ( except 1 costing 1.7T). When dealing with the 3 circles, attack each radial segment from both sides (using the spokes) and try to use JS for the highest territory. Obviously, JS is otherwise useless in them, except for the center. I got my hospital saves up to 1.1B before clearing the level. Also, I used my legendary TS on domitian5, that monster with ~250B troops. Also, you will need mines, smelting and crafting to get the merc discounts, hospital discounts, hospital 10% bonus and 50% cache bonus techs. You will need to smelt platinum and thorium (for the 2 relays and 10 bars) so silver will be the real problem. Do not smelt silver bars. You need lots of silver ore to make thorium bars. So buy glass at the market and use efficient smelter to reduce the silver use. I spent 1.5 days making the thorium and relays.

Or, you can spend 5 IMs on the largest merc camp to get 10x and clear the map that way.

The real problem with this map is money. The mercs are expensive (up to $17 each with all available tech discounts) so you need to mine and sell ore, wait for bonus money to pile up, smelt plenty of aluminum and gold to sell back but don't craft excess items (the alloy bars are worth more). Finally, you need to mine the higher valued ores so you need the mine discount up to the tjihi stage.

Are you indicating the use of two AV artifacts at the same time?

I'm rebuilding Artifacts because I spent everything for a Legendary AV. My best Artifacts below that AV are rare and I haven't seen a replacement ACacheB since the spend.

My TS is rare.
