I can receive mail messages (pulldown in upper right), but I don't see how to initiate a message to another player. Help, please.

On mobile go to a person's profile, on laptop it's a lot easier.

Go to their profile and click Send Mail, or go to your mail in a browser and click New Mail to send a mail to up to 19 friends at once.
