Finally on EH on my first playthrough. On previous levels I focused on taking all hospitals ASAP. This time I maxed the 3 first markets and used it all on mercs. The other markets are too far away. I did not focus on hospitals or army camps, unless directly on my path.
I entered this level with 3 IM, completed a dash for the British market + the Irish IM, and conquered a narrow one way lane all the way from northern Italy up to east of Estonia. Now I am 5 territories away from Kirovsky. Having 110% AM, and using all 5 IM's on it should land me around 3,3 T armies, almost half of the entire level's 6,9 T, given that the answer to my above question is yes.
Now I bet on getting an IM from the wheel or daily, or else I need to conquer all of Lithuania.
Knocking of the 5x IM on Kirovsky will be the biggest moment for me yet in this game, but still some grinding to do, since army camps only yield 41k/s ...

Yes. When you super power IM a merc camp, you get 10x the amount of what you get with only 1 IM.

BUT. If you were able to beat levels like china, US, maybe even trisk, the EH shouldnt be any issue. You might consider to save the IMs for Hard EH or Hard China...

Oh I only now read the rest of your post. You already spent 3 IMs?! You do know that powers are finite?

Hi Otto thanks for this overview. No, I saved those 3 IM from previous lvls and picked up the Irish IM, so I have 4 now. I used market money to purchase all mercs until now. IM will be spent on Kirovsky only. I have completed all hardened lvls except Htrisk and HEurope. I plan to ascend after my current level, and then
save up more IM anew during the lower levels of my second play
through, and use them on HEH at the end of my second run. Given that I plan to ascend after the current level, I see no reason to save my IM's.

what I meant to say is that this Kirovsky Merc camp is huge compared to biggest camps on other levels, given that it is 4x the size of the second biggest mc. On most other levels the largest merc camp is only marginally larger than the second biggest mc. therefore it is very tempting to use super IM on this camp, and once I do it, I can round up the level in no time

Another remark on powers.

Once you reached 5/5 powers of one type, lets say IMs, you do not collect any IMs more from maps. Which is great and what you should aim for. Do not spend IMs just to be below the 5/5 mark.

Powers that you did not collect from a map stay on the map for later claim. But once claimed, that power is gone forever. And you can only claim x amount of each power (see the other thread) from the maps.

Using a super power IM on HEH or HC or even HT is amazing. But I would really challenge whether even one IM is worth to be spent on EH.

Before you use IMs on EH, what about using TS on that 420B stack in Puchezhsky? I upgraded the TS from HCC (epic) to legendary and used it on the stack and, with the 60% payout, was able to grab the stack on Danilov, too. No IMs and finished in under 3 days (after completing the merc discounts, hospital boosts and discount and, most importantly, the 50% cache techs). However, I did have to spend 1-2 days smelting and crafting since the markets didn't have some needed stuff.

BTW, I just completed HEH using only 1 IM (yes, on Kirovsky where it was worth over 1T with my boosts) and basically the same strategy. Took about 9 1/2 days with a lot more smelting & crafting (the tech tree is HARD) and only completed about half the techs (but all the essential ones except the last 10% hospital boost. The 3 magnets and 6 transformers were just too painful to contemplate.). I must have used TS at least 6 times. Here, the stack on Puchezhsky is 1.2T so TS is clearly the way to go

Thanks. I didn't read your comment properly until now. So IMO it changes everything that unclaimed powers stay on the map for the future. I have been ignorant of this.
In fact I recently shot off 3 TW before taking the last territory of 1065 Reconquest, just in order to advance my digging, as I thought they would otherwise be lost. This was a real waste. From now on I will try to let the powers stay until perhaps after my first super ascension when advancements are reset.

Yes I used TS on Puchezsky too in EH. I will def not sacrifice epic TS until after HEH.
