Lately i have been dipping my mighty frog legs into the world of QM and after playing 1 to many SE auto dist commander, i thought to myself: "isnt there a better way?"

And there is, the frog presents:

Tarabonia's Choice

I cooked up a template pampering your fear of leaving your comfort zone with some time-tested foundations, but added a tiny bit of spicy flavour so you dinosaurs experience something new every now and then.

the quirk of the template:
you start with a bunch of cards that are all useless on t1, however you can not hold them, forcing you to discard all but one.
Essentially you are choosing your special power for the game at the start.

I am excited to see what you guys will choose - Rufus and me had a bunch of fun games on this one and our choices seemed to vary a lot depending on the board at hand.

Not the best game we had on the template, but only one on the final version. Also i think the disaster EM on last turn is a sight to be seen ;)

adding this because its a longer game with a nice finish - not only because the frog wins, but because its a card-usage finish (actually the other game kinda is aswell :D)

This might be the coolest template I’ve ever seen. No idea if it’s balanced or not but it’s certainly interesting.

Hopefully someones takes the time after the tournament to calculate the results of each card to see how these fare against each other!

I like this template.

The biggest tourney in warzone completes its round of 128!

I ve been getting some really good feedback on the temaplate and i much enjoyed reading your discussions on which card is strongest (or weakest).

Now lets put some numbers on the table. The following data only considers the winner-bracket round of 128, more to come as the rounds complete:

no card
winrate = 33.33%
pickrate = 7.63%

reinforcement
winrate = 50.0%
pickrate = 1.69%

emergency blockade
winrate = 48.0%
pickrate = 34.75%

order priority
winrate = 58.33%
pickrate = 10.17%

order delay
winrate = 68.75%
pickrate = 18.64%

sanctions
winrate = 38.89%
pickrate = 15.25%

blockade
winrate = 50.0%
pickrate = 11.86%


We can see OD performing the strongest so far and emergency blockade being the most popular, despite <50% winrate as of now.
The odd ones (no card + reinforcement card) got all their wins from Master players seemingly not really understanding card settings (or flexing?), but still pulling their wins in the first round :D

I am interested to see how this develops in the later rounds. Maybe OD will become more popular and EB less popular? Time will tell

Also - despite a lot of good feedback, words alone dont get the template into QM :D
