By the way, I really dont know what all the fuss is good for. Do your panties pinch? You get an entire game for free, which is also maintained very well and you guys still complain. This is ridiculous.
Is there somewhere in the standard form contract said that you gain the right to decide about following upgrades, when you agree to the terms?

The reason why I can even access this site is cuz of its original name.

In the not-even-that-distant past, there were two ways to get to a website: either you enter its name (technically: its domain, its URL) in your browser, or you click on a link to it (for instance from a search engine). Of course, that leaves only a single way for getting to a search engine: actually typing "google.com" into the address bar of your browser (or setting it as your homepage).
Then at some point, somebody figured "People use search engines all the time, and they're basically just a text box and a button... The browser already has those, so let's be efficient!" and they invented a very ugly hack, which (unfortunately, if you ask me) became very popular; when you enter something in your address bar which isn't a valid website address (such as typing "warlight") your browser is clever and, behind the scenes, goes to Google, asks Google to search for "warlight" and shows you the results. It sounds like this "new", third way of opening a site (by abusing the address bar for a search box) is the only method you are familiar with.
(Just try it, type "www.google.com" in your address bar, when it opens Google, type in "warlight" and see the same results show up as when you entered "warlight" in your address bar.)

Now, here's the trick: it makes no sense whatsoever to use a search engine when you're not actually searching for something; why search when you already know where you want to go!? So, instead of typing "warlight" in your address bar, try doing it "the old-fashioned way": type "warlight.net" instead and see what happens... No Google results page, no extra click needed, you go straight to the WL homepage!

If you visit WL often, maybe it's even easier to simply make a bookmark. Depending on which browser you use exactly, you can probably even use the name of the bookmark to open it (so you don't need to search through a big list of bookmarks; just name it "wl", type "wl" in your address bar and magic happens). For added ease-of-use, don't use "http://www.warlight.net" for the bookmark, but instead use "https://www.warlight.net/Dashboard"; that'll make you go straight to the new dashboard. It doesn't get any easier than that! :)

It's not possible to "change" a URL. However, it's very much possible (and only costs a couple dozen bucks or so) to start using an entirely new URL. How possible exactly? Well... here's your answer: http://www.warzone.com

This also would hold true for warzone, since your browser keeps a list of the websites you visit most often, then checks that list before consulting Google/Bing/whatever your default search engine is (hopefully not trovi!). So if you visit warzone a lot, then typing "w" into your browser will have it as your top result.
