edit: Not a cheater just a guy making huge map lobbies with no time on the clock just to turn on autopilot while being extremely toxic
Thanks for pointing out what I should be wary of in joining lobbies, I am rather new compared to many of you guys and love to just join as many lobbies as I can, especially on new maps. I usually surrender immediately if I realize I'm about to lose and will often ask about income if I think I'm losing so as to not waste veteran players' time, as stated in the original post the reason I didn't surrender immediately was that I had a suspicion he was cheating as he was using an autopilot feature I had not seen before.

edit: yes you cannot see the toxic chat in public because its in a private message

They are using a feature called Autopilot that is available for warzone members. Check your facts before calling someone a cheater.

Welp didn't know this was a thing, still one of the moxt toxic players I've encoutnered, and he put on autopilot from the start being a huge map and putting no time on the clock as to force players to loose if they dont have this autopilot feature. Clearly not what the feature is intended to do

Wdym with "extremely toxic"? There is only 1 message in that game...?

Probably not a case of cheating, but certainly a case where the autopilot gives a huge advantage, so a case of p2w when there should be no p2w in wz.
Should be discouraged in some way.
No idea what the toxic chat is about tho, maybe it was private messages?

Big map and not so much turn time.
Next time check settings or at least map and boot times. Some players enjoy playing without thinking about moves.
Not seeing instances of cheating nor toxicity, although Autopilot does favour him greatly it's not cheating.

Looking at the game, the opponent played the first couple of turns himself and then turned on the autopilot. From a "competitive viewpoint" the game was already over after turn 1 with UtøvBlindVoldMotElever expanding into the wrong bonuses.

I actually believe that the Warzone autopilot with the Prod 2.0 AI makes the right decision on that map after you give it enough income which is just to expand into all available neutrals it can see. The 1 neutral also helps the autopilot since it can't properly move leftovers to the border and there are no leftovers here.

However then again, the game was over after turn 1.

Just, so that we dont lose the full context. The initial unedited post of the topic starter:

And the interaction, which "was so toxic, the OP decided to surrender". A true example of "extreme toxicity":

@FiveSmith that is not the chat from the game he messaged me directly that is the public chat and is not what was happening. And after realising it was not cheating I deleted that part of the post. Now I have learned to be more careful on checking these settings when I go into a game. That said I do think the feature of autopilot should be possible to turn off on games as I have found out it is not. This is quite a disadvantage for us players who do not want to spend money on this.

Don worry too much about autopilot, UBVME; this is pretty much the only situation (large map, low boot timer) where it is an advantage. The AI will almost always make worse decisions than the majority of competent players, so the real moral of the story here is just to check the boot timer before joining a game to make sure you'll have enough time to click!
if you want to avoid the potential of autopilot completely, don't join games against members. But in the majority of properly set up templates, autopilot isn't really an advantage

You could earn a membership by just playing.
I've earned memberships for myself and a friend by just playing the occasional coin game and the coin wheel.

fizzer needs to make money otherwise it’s a hobby. when i sign up for a game i agree to all terms and services. sometimes the opponent tries to stall but it’s on me to continue playing and not complain.

JK_3 How can I play coin games without purchasing coins? And what is the coin wheel?

And yes I understand that the person who made the game needs to make money I'm not complaining about that I'm just saying there should be an option available to turn off autopilot.

Warzone wheel is a feature on the mobile app. Every 6 hours you can spin it to get coins and an Idle power. Must have won a game before can spin.

Can also get coins while a raffle is happening on global chat (Community > Chat).

As others have said, autopilot along with other features aren’t pay to win. Using it is only beneficial when already very winning. It’s the original AI, current AI and a couple of bots written for an AI competition years ago. Any decent player is better than them.

The case you describe is very different. Also even though fizzer needs to make money, he himself states that there are no p2w features in this game. If fizzer wanted to go down that route, that surely is his decision to make and to some degree i would understand if he thinks it would be more profitable, but at the same time i d be out of here in no time.

I dont think the autopilot is a p2w feature in general, as it is like others have stated, so bad on the vast majority of settings that even the weakest players among us beat it with ease. Also i like the feature. A previously tedious task of finishing a game where the enemy stalls an obviously lost game (or just doesnt realize) now turns into me just clicking the auto-pilot, which somehow is a very satisfying feeling :D

So i think it is a nice feature, however it is surely possible to create templates where the autopilot dominates any human player. Giant maps with low neutrals so that expansion is key combined with low boot timer, may even throw in local deploy for good measure.

I dont know if 4+4min qualifies for this, but given the map size + its confusing layout may make it the case, but thats not really what i m trying to discuss here.
Just saying that if we truly want to stick with the no p2w philosophy, than something like this should at least be discouraged in some way. I dont think its cheating and from the game creators perspective he may just be using a feature he got, but once such behaviour is seen, i think a message that states that the autopilot should not be abused in such way seems like a minimum.

Again, i m not arguing if the game creator did or did not have such settings. Just imagine a giant map with 1 min boot timer and local deploy, so basically no chance for a human.

Using it is only beneficial when already very winning.

Given the right map/settings, this just isnt true
