What’s up, you good for nothing peasants! Yeah, yeah. You’re happy to see me. I get it. I’m amazing. But simmer down, I have som- …
BE QUIET!!!…
*straightens tie* … Good! Now, I have some stuff to share.
I am Texx! I will be your scorekeeper this season for Div B. You will worship me, or you’ll pretend to. Because if you don’t…
*clicks fingers*
(lights turn on, illuminating the audience)
*points to random guy*
(masked guards drag the confused man away)
…you’ll end up like him.
Let’s meet the clans!
Promoting from C are CORP and GM
GRANDMASTER ClanGM has a small squad. Too small. They’ve got some random bloke called Ivan on two templates. Apparently this bloke isn’t an alt. Just a real life friend of Turtle. I’m not buying it. GM’s star player is Castel Gandolfo, who’s reached 3rd on the MTL. This team will be fighting to avoid relegation.
CORPSpunk. That’s what these blokes have. Dominating Div C last CL, this “diplo clan” gives their all no matter the competition or game. The reigning champs of Alternative CL, these guys still have a lot to prove and they are motivated to do so.
Though their leader and ace, dry-clean-only, is a seasonal champ and considered by many as the best army-cap specialist in the game, it’s really CORP’s depth that make them a threat.
On paper, the Scorpions are expected to demote, but they are organised, motivated and hungry. Don’t be surprised if they are fighting for promotion come May.
The 3 remnants from Div B last season are GG, TLA and Harmony.
HarmonyScholars already argue if there will ever be another clan as great as Harmony. I’ll give them the answer: No.
Led by Nave, Harmony’s CL squad has more depth than the last edition, as missing puzzle pieces have emerged in the offseason to fill holes. Debuting last season, Texx has emerged as the new ace of the clan. Expectations are high, but are they bloated like his ego? Only time will tell.
Boasting an active community three times larger than any other in Warzone, Harmony are considered by many as the favourite this season. Will the select few rise up to the occasion, or will they crumble under the pressure?
The Last AllianceTalking about the most active clans, TLA are second. With over 100 active players, they too have a vast pool to select from. They too have also filled holes in their lineup in the offseason.
Led by Naviiso, who recently proved he is the best player in the clan with his recent seasonal ladder victory. Though Navi is not their only ace, for Ares, the god of war, is there to back up his leader. These two are spread across 6 of the 11 templates and will be hoping to carve a large chunk of points out for their team on the way up to Div A. Promotion is their target this season.
|GG|Considered by some as the best team on paper, but GG’s squad is spread thin with 5 players triple slotting. They’ve made no improvements since their 3rd place finish last season. In fact, their squad has become weaker due to their ace, Gunslinger, leaving them and joining Optimum.
Decrepit and demotivated, will GG’s talented roster be able to overcome their fading love for the game, or will they be unable to avoid relegation and start a downward spiral into irrelevancy?
The 2 demoted clans from Div A are Hawks and 101st.
{101st}The Eagles. A clan closely related to Python, yet when Python needed players for their Div A squad, they ignored their Eagles and went straight to the forum asking for support from elsewhere. Maybe they thought that no one in their sister clan was good enough for A? Let’s see how this revelation impacts the Eagles moral.
In the offseason, their leadership has changed as well as their core group of members. This is no longer a training clan, as a large community of Italians merged into it. Who are these Italians? Well, they did quite a bit of clan hopping before settling down in 101st, but you may know them as “Le Furie Azzurre” or “The Blue Devils”.
Led by stefano36000, but 101st have no real “ace”. No super strong player. But that doesn’t mean they lack talent that’s above average, even for Div B standards. Stefano himself is quite strong. EternalQ, Pablito and El Eternauta are all a threat to any top player too. 101st will be hoping this above average talent is enough to avoid relegation.
HAWKSHawks’ roster looks very strong, but their lineup looks much weaker. How can this be? Well, Hawks have made the decision to give no single player more than 1 slot this season. An incredibly unorthodox approach. Are Hawks trying to rebuild back to Div A by providing experience for 18 different players, or have they lost their minds and think this low load strategy will somehow work out?
There are many strong players in Hawks, some are definitely Div A calibre, but you have to think that they’ve just shot themselves in the foot. Hawks strategy sees them as a middle of the pack clan instead of the favourites. If Hawks strategy backfires and they demote, their leader, LF, may have some answering to do.
Speaking of LF, I’m obligated to give him a shoutout as the organiser and overlord of Clan League. LF!!! You’re so amazing!!! … yada, yada, yada…
