I'm looking to gain experience in managing a clan, so that I can assist my clan leader.
Due to my clan's history, asking for manager rights, even to have a look around and take a few screenshots of the options is a no-go.

I could pay 10USD, if necessary, wait until the next big sale on Clans, (except that I don't wish to keep a clan, unless I can get it super cheap),
or explore the possibility that someone would trust me to borrow a clan, and then give it back... perhaps a few times a year?

(Yes, this is an alt account.
Yes, I would provide references and confirmation from my primary account as to my trustworthiness...
and my reputation is worth a lot more than 10USD.)

For the purposes of testing permissions and stuff, I can afford to wait until May to save a few bucks.

Now I'll need a few members. Maybe I could borrow a couple of stooges from knyte... creating and maintaining alt accounts is annoying.

I don't get what experience you think managing a clan with alts will give you, all you get with MR is 6 buttons on the clan page allowing you to 1) invite people 2)choose player title 3)remove people 4) change managers 5) edit clan page 6) open the clan, I'm sure you can assist in running a clan without MR, those really don't do much.

i know there is a mute button in clan chat.
also, all the fun of pushing buttons, none of the problems of actually being clan leader... 😂
and I'm not actually looking to get MR rights in my clan, but it would help to know how to fly the plane... and getting a look at the cockpit is a good start.

oh, right, you can timeout people in clan chat for up to a day, the only times I've used it waq by mistake tbh, but I guess that depends who's in the clan :D

it also removes their previous chats permanently... up to the previous day?

no, it just removes all the chat of the person timed out that's present in clan chat, without limit of time afaik. though you can also timeout someone for 0seconds to just erase previous chat

yes and no: it removes all their chat from the chat room (depending on how active chat is, that might be last hour, or it might be last year)

I am calling this all thread out to be at least "sus", or potentially just a scam.

I really don't know what is it like in CORP, but in like top-7 CW clans, there are a lot of people with dormant unused clans, which one can use for testing. And would believe, that old clans (like CORP) do also have that trail of unused clans.

And if the topic starter actually tried to ask people whom he knew and got no support in CORP, then... maybe they don't trust him and if they know him and don't trust, then we probably should not either.

Also, notice like how manipulative the starting post is:
- Starts with "When is the next sale?"
- Ends with "Anyone interested in giving me a clan?"

Now it is just plain begging for coins.
