if i had to buy all idle bufs, the coin rewards would need to go so high it would actually start causing inflation

Agreed, the powers are overly expensive. But you can get 30% additional AP of a map for spending 50 coins. That is what 99% of players spend coins in idle. A few for poor artifacts if RNG is against you. But powers are bought by almost nobody, I am pretty sure
