Adding Kabix 2v2 to Clan Wars

last time something got added to the template rotation there was a vote.

How was the voting conducted?

Interesting the voting from last time, that was about three years ago.

There are several ideas in the forums for adding templates to CW. Kabix, Lotto, LD Siege to mention a few.
If someone wants to organize a vote, and it gets Fizzer's approval, then i will support that.

In the meantime, Fizzer is king, and he can do, and does do, whatever he likes with CW.
I recall the last time he made a change it was to add the Clan CW ratings to the game settings. I had a hand in that it was done via UserVoice. Sometimes the system works.

2v2 Kabix!

i wish there was an option to delete mails. there are like 5 or 6 ideas suggesting mail deletion in the warlight.uservoice.com and one has like 150 votes
hopefully it gets done eventually

unfortunately all this thread does is highlight that:

(A) we the community can't agree on what we want CW to be; eg: many all out "more SE templates" while many others call out "more strat templates", while Alex specifically called out "more non-SE templates"; tbh i'm surprised 5s and his followers aren't in here shouting for a lotto template (actually nvm, I see Risky did ask for it, lmao); someone asked for more/different rewards, while someone else asked for reduced or no rewards

(B) there's no takeaway for Fizz from this b/c anything he implements would make ~50% the community happy while making the remaining ~50% unhappy; thus default to whatever he likes (which is what we have now)

i think the only thing there was a marginal degree of agreement on was that we all seem to want a fix for 'no game'; (aside: imo getting 'no game' is the biggest insult to the player base that exists; a player taking time to play the game at a certain time and getting the big finger as a response)

This thread is for Brainstorming. Think of this like a "chinese menu" for Fizzer. That any consensus evolves is a huge bonus.

Yes we have consensus on the "fix the no game" and there is even a fix. If anyone supports the fix then i will make a User Voice.
Also, there is consensus for a rotation or addition of popular templates. So double bonus.

Fizzer, he may be trying for more "involvement" or "engagement" but i don't have evidence he would be interested in politics or crowd pleasing.

Any change of templates will cause a reaction hopefully for MORE FUN.
And Kabix is a fun template with surprising subtlety in strategy and tactics. Have you tried it?

agree, Fizz not interested in crowd pleasing or politics, but I believe he cares about what the majority of players want. that's the reason he asks for high vote count UserVoice items. he's not interested in stuff that only a couple folks are asking for, prefers to focus on stuff that many have rallied together to ask for. the items he seems to implement are either (A) stuff he was already working on, (B) stuff that he wasn't working on, may not have been aware but is obviously a good idea [a lot of simple bug fixes fall into this category, as do simple QoL features], (C) stuff that hundreds of people have agreed/voted on. (C) is never a guarantee but at least it gets into consideration

no haven't played kabix, maybe not ever, not sure, as it seems to be the Romanium map so not sure ive internally segregated the other templates played on that map from whatever kabix is ... but i see you've sent me a game invite to play it, so let's explore...
